Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Langan files H-1B petitions under specialty occupation rules, so your degree must directly match civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering. A general engineering degree paired with unrelated experience can trigger an RFE. Have your transcripts and credential evaluation ready before applying.
Target offices with active land development pipelines
Langan's Engineering Project Manager openings cluster around offices supporting high-growth development markets. Research which regional offices have active site development or infrastructure portfolios, then tailor your application to demonstrate relevant project management experience in those specific engineering disciplines.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Langan sponsors multiple visa categories for Engineering Project Managers, including H-1B, TN, and OPT. Use Migrate Mate to surface current openings filtered by the visa type you need, so you're applying to roles where your specific authorization pathway is already supported.
Clarify OPT cap-gap coverage before your start date
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT to an H-1B at Langan, confirm your cap-gap period covers your intended start date. USCIS grants automatic cap-gap protection when an H-1B petition is timely filed, but your OPT end date and the October 1 activation window must align.
Prepare a PERM-ready employment history early
For Green Card pathways via EB-2 or EB-3, DOL requires a detailed work history during the PERM audit process. Document all prior engineering roles with precise dates, duties, and supervisor contacts now, so you're not scrambling to reconstruct records after Langan initiates the process.
Address PMP or PE licensure gaps in your application
Langan's Engineering Project Manager postings frequently reference PMP certification or state Professional Engineer licensure as preferred qualifications. If you're working toward either, name it explicitly in your resume and cover letter so hiring managers can assess your timeline against the role's seniority expectations.

Does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Project Managers?
Yes. Langan Engineering and Environmental Services has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for Engineering Project Manager roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards given the engineering degree requirements. If you're currently on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, it's worth confirming sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter during the offer stage.
Which visa types does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services commonly sponsor for Engineering Project Managers?
Langan sponsors a range of visa categories for this function, including H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and immigrant visas under EB-2 and EB-3. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican engineers in qualifying disciplines. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is offered for longer-term hires, though timelines depend on your priority date and country of birth.
What qualifications does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services expect for Engineering Project Manager roles?
Langan typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in civil, environmental, geotechnical, or a closely related engineering field. Relevant project management experience on land development or infrastructure assignments is a strong differentiator. PMP certification and state Professional Engineer licensure are frequently listed as preferred, and candidates further along in either credential tend to be more competitive for senior-level openings.
How do I apply for Engineering Project Manager jobs at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
You can browse current Engineering Project Manager openings at Langan on Migrate Mate, which lists roles with confirmed visa sponsorship so you can filter by the authorization type you need. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply directly through Langan's careers page with a resume that reflects your engineering project experience and any relevant licensure or certifications.
How do I navigate the H-1B filing timeline when accepting an offer from Langan?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If Langan extends an offer outside that window, confirm whether they'll support premium processing through USCIS, which reduces the adjudication period to 15 business days. Cap-exempt situations, such as a transfer from another H-1B employer, follow a different timeline and can start sooner.
