Frame your PM credentials around infrastructure projects
Kleinfelder's Program Manager roles sit within engineering and environmental consulting, so tailor your resume to highlight project delivery in those sectors. PMP certification and experience managing multi-discipline technical teams strengthen your application significantly.
Target Kleinfelder's regional offices with active PM openings
Kleinfelder operates through distributed regional offices, and PM hiring often reflects local project pipelines. Search open roles by region and cross-reference where infrastructure and environmental contracts are active rather than applying to any posting indiscriminately.
Ask about LCA filing timelines before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B petition goes to USCIS. For Program Manager roles, clarify whether Kleinfelder uses cap-subject or cap-exempt filings, since your start date depends entirely on that timeline.
Use Migrate Mate to surface current Kleinfelder PM openings
Sponsoring PM roles at consulting firms are rarely flagged clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter Kleinfelder postings by visa type so you're only reviewing roles where sponsorship is confirmed, not assumed.
Prepare for PERM documentation early if targeting a Green Card
Kleinfelder sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, which require PERM labor certification through DOL. For Program Manager roles, gather degree transcripts, employment verification letters, and a detailed job duties breakdown before your employer initiates the process.

Find Program Manager at Kleinfelder JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Kleinfelder sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Kleinfelder sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. Program Manager positions at Kleinfelder generally qualify as specialty occupations given the engineering and consulting context, which satisfies the H-1B eligibility threshold. If you're subject to the annual H-1B cap, your employer must submit a registration during the USCIS lottery window each March for an October 1 start date.
Which visa types does Kleinfelder commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Kleinfelder sponsors H-1B and TN visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, and supports F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students and recent graduates. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Kleinfelder also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process with the Department of Labor.
What qualifications does Kleinfelder expect for Program Manager positions?
Kleinfelder's Program Manager roles sit within engineering, environmental, and infrastructure consulting practices. Candidates typically need a bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-discipline projects. PMP certification is commonly preferred. For H-1B eligibility, your degree field needs to align directly with the role's specialty occupation classification.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Kleinfelder?
Applications go through Kleinfelder's careers portal. To find roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed rather than implied, browse Kleinfelder's open Program Manager listings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for sponsored positions. Tailor your application to the regional office and practice area you're targeting, since PM hiring at Kleinfelder reflects local project pipelines more than centralized recruiting.
How do I plan my timeline if Kleinfelder is sponsoring my H-1B as a Program Manager?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, USCIS opens registration each March and a lottery determines selection. Cap-selected petitions have an October 1 start date, meaning you may need to bridge employment through OPT extension or another status. Your employer must obtain a certified LCA from DOL before filing the I-129 petition, so build at least 30 days into your timeline for that step alone.
