Frame your PMP credentials for engineering contexts
Olsson operates across civil, structural, and environmental engineering projects. If you hold a PMP or similar certification, position it alongside domain-specific experience rather than generic project management. Consulting firms in this space expect both credentials to align.
Target postings that specify infrastructure or utilities
Olsson's Program Manager openings cluster around transportation, water, and energy sectors. Filtering your search by these disciplines gets you to roles where your background maps directly to what hiring managers are evaluating, which shortens the screening process.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Program Manager roles
Olsson regularly posts Program Manager openings across multiple states. Search Migrate Mate to surface active listings filtered by sponsorship availability, so you're only spending time on roles where your visa situation is already accounted for.
Document cross-functional leadership for the LCA filing stage
When Olsson files a Labor Condition Application with DOL for your role, the job duties on record must match what you actually do. Prepare a clear written summary of the teams you manage and deliverables you own before the offer stage.
Understand how TN eligibility applies to Program Manager roles
Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under TN status if the role is structured around engineering management rather than pure administration. Confirm with Olsson's HR team that the position description maps to an approved TN occupation category before assuming eligibility.

Find Program Manager at Olsson JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Olsson sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Olsson has sponsored H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company works through standard cap-subject filings, which means timing matters if you're not currently on H-1B status. USCIS opens the H-1B registration window in March each year, so your offer and petition preparation need to be in place well before that window.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Olsson?
Applications go through Olsson's careers portal, where postings list required qualifications and location. Before applying, review whether the role specifies a particular engineering sector, since Olsson's Program Manager positions span transportation, utilities, and environmental consulting. Migrate Mate lists Olsson's open Program Manager roles filtered by sponsorship availability, which helps you identify active postings efficiently.
Which visa types does Olsson commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Olsson sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for qualifying roles including Program Manager positions. H-1B is the most common path for long-term employment. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role meets the occupational criteria. F-1 OPT covers recent graduates during their authorized work period before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What qualifications does Olsson expect for Program Manager roles?
Olsson typically looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams. Consulting firms in the infrastructure sector place weight on client-facing experience and the ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule across concurrent projects. A PMP certification strengthens your application, particularly for senior-level openings.
How do I plan my timeline if I need sponsorship for a Program Manager role at Olsson?
If you're on F-1 OPT, count backward from your OPT expiration date to determine whether an H-1B cap-subject filing is feasible. USCIS's H-1B registration period opens in March, with an October 1 start date for approved petitions. Build in time for Olsson's internal review and the DOL Labor Condition Application process, which typically takes one to two weeks before the I-129 petition can be filed.
