Frame Your Credentials Around KPMG's Practice Areas
KPMG's consulting work spans deal advisory, regulatory compliance, and operational transformation. Tailor your resume and cover letter to one of these verticals rather than presenting generalist consulting experience. Reviewers screening Management Consultant applicants respond to domain alignment, not breadth.
Target Roles That Align With Your Visa Pathway
KPMG sponsors both H-1B and E-3 visas for Management Consultants, but the filing timelines differ significantly. If you're an Australian citizen, the E-3 has no annual lottery and can be filed any time of year, giving you more flexibility when negotiating a start date with a recruiter.
Get Your Degree Equivalency Documented Early
KPMG's H-1B petitions for consulting roles require USCIS to confirm your position qualifies as a specialty occupation. If your degree is from outside the United States, get a credential evaluation completed before you receive an offer so the process does not stall at petition stage.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Open Management Consultant Roles
KPMG posts Management Consultant openings across multiple service lines and regions at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter actively sponsored roles at KPMG so you are applying to positions where sponsorship is confirmed, not assumed.
Clarify Sponsorship Before Final Interview Rounds
KPMG's recruiting process for Management Consultants typically includes multiple case interview rounds. Raise your visa status with your recruiter after a first-round offer, not after final rounds. This gives KPMG's immigration team enough lead time to assess the pathway before an offer is formally extended.
Understand How PERM Affects Long-Term Employment Plans
KPMG sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for eligible consulting staff, which requires a PERM labor certification through the DOL. This process can take a year or more, so ask your recruiter early whether the role you are targeting is eligible for employer-sponsored permanent residence.

Find Management Consultant at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Management Consultants?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Management Consultants. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery administered by USCIS, timing your job search around the April registration window matters. KPMG has the internal immigration infrastructure to file cap-subject petitions, but you should confirm sponsorship eligibility directly with your recruiter before advancing through the interview process.
How do I apply for Management Consultant jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal, where roles are listed by service line and location. For international candidates, Migrate Mate filters KPMG's open Management Consultant positions by visa sponsorship status, so you can focus on roles where sponsorship is active. The process typically involves an online application, screening call, and multiple case interview rounds before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Management Consultant roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most international Management Consultants, along with E-3 visas for Australian citizens. For longer-term employment, KPMG also pursues employer-sponsored permanent residence through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, which require a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before the immigrant petition can proceed.
What qualifications and experience does KPMG expect for Management Consultant roles?
KPMG generally expects a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, finance, or a technical discipline, along with demonstrated analytical and client-facing skills. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, so your degree field and job responsibilities need to align clearly. Prior consulting internship experience or industry-specific knowledge in audit, risk, or financial advisory strengthens your application.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after accepting a KPMG offer?
Timeline depends on visa type. E-3 applicants can typically schedule a consular appointment and begin work within four to eight weeks of an offer. H-1B sponsorship is more complex: if you are already in valid H-1B status with another employer, KPMG can file a transfer petition and you can start on receipt. New cap-subject H-1B petitions require the annual USCIS lottery in March, with employment starting no earlier than October 1 of that fiscal year.
