Target roles in audit, tax, and advisory
KPMG's sponsorship activity is concentrated in its core service lines. Accounting, auditing, and consulting roles are where international candidates have the strongest foothold, so align your application to these departments rather than general corporate functions.
Apply early in the recruiting cycle
Big Four firms like KPMG recruit heavily through campus programs and early-career pipelines. For H-1B sponsorship, timing matters given the April lottery window. Starting your application process in fall or winter gives you the best positioning.
Highlight specialized credentials prominently
KPMG values credentials like CPA eligibility, CFA progress, or relevant certifications in tax and advisory. Candidates with specialty qualifications are easier to sponsor because they clearly satisfy the specialty occupation requirement for work visa petitions.
Research KPMG's open roles before you apply
KPMG posts actively across practice areas, but not every role is open to sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find KPMG roles where international candidates have a genuine shot.
Prepare to discuss your visa status confidently
KPMG recruiters at major accounting firms are experienced with international hiring. Being upfront about your visa category and timeline, and demonstrating that you understand the process, signals professionalism and removes uncertainty that might slow a hiring decision.

Find KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas and is one of the more active sponsors among professional services firms in the United States. Sponsorship is most common in audit, tax, and advisory roles that clearly meet the specialty occupation standard. If you're targeting KPMG, focus your application on technical and client-facing roles within its core service lines rather than support functions.
Which visa types does KPMG sponsor?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for skilled specialty occupation workers, E-3 visas for Australian citizens, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. The Green Card pathway is typically available to employees who have been with the firm for some time, rather than at the point of initial hire.
Which departments or roles at KPMG are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at KPMG is most concentrated in its revenue-generating service lines: audit and assurance, tax, and advisory or consulting. Roles requiring specialized accounting knowledge, technical expertise in areas like data analytics or financial risk, or client-facing responsibilities in regulated industries tend to qualify most readily under specialty occupation criteria.
What is the typical timeline for visa sponsorship at KPMG?
For H-1B sponsorship, KPMG typically initiates the petition process well ahead of the April 1 filing window, which means offers for cap-subject candidates often come through by late fall or early winter of the prior year. E-3 processing at a U.S. consulate in Australia generally takes a few weeks. Green Card sponsorship usually begins after an employee has established a track record at the firm.
How do I find open roles at KPMG that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to look specifically for roles where KPMG has an active sponsorship history in your visa category. Migrate Mate lets you browse verified sponsoring employers by visa type, so you can identify KPMG openings where international candidates have genuinely been hired. From there, applying through KPMG's official careers portal and being upfront about your visa needs from the first conversation is the most efficient path forward.
