Earn Your CPA Before Applying
KPMG's Accounting Manager roles almost universally require CPA licensure. Sitting for all four sections before you apply removes a conditional offer risk and signals you're ready to lead client engagements without additional credentialing delays.
Target Practice-Specific Recruiting Pipelines
KPMG recruits Accounting Managers differently across audit, tax, and advisory. Apply through the specific service line you've built experience in. A generalist application to the firm rarely converts the way a targeted submission to, say, the Audit practice does.
Distinguish E-3 Eligibility Early in Conversations
If you're an Australian citizen, flag your E-3 eligibility during initial recruiter screens. KPMG's immigration team is experienced with E-3 filings, and clarifying your visa category early removes H-1B lottery uncertainty from the offer timeline entirely.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active KPMG Openings
KPMG posts Accounting Manager roles across dozens of metro markets simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter by visa sponsorship type and location so you're targeting offices where your specific combination of credentials and status aligns with active headcount.
Align Your Offer Acceptance to H-1B Cap Deadlines
USCIS opens H-1B registration each March for an October 1 start. If you receive a KPMG offer outside that window, confirm whether the firm will support cap-exempt bridging through an affiliated entity or time the filing for the next registration cycle.

Find Accounting Manager at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Accounting Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Accounting Managers. The firm has an established immigration program with in-house support that handles H-1B petitions for qualified hires. Because KPMG is a large employer, it participates in the annual USCIS H-1B cap registration process, so offer timing relative to the March registration window affects when you can start.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Accounting Manager roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for Accounting Managers, along with immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-tenured employees. Australian citizens are strong candidates for the E-3, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. The right visa depends on your nationality, credentials, and where you are in your career.
How do I apply for Accounting Manager jobs at KPMG?
Apply directly through KPMG's careers portal, targeting the specific service line (audit, tax, or advisory) where your experience is strongest. KPMG recruits Accounting Managers on a rolling basis across major U.S. markets. You can also browse open roles filtered by visa sponsorship availability on Migrate Mate, which surfaces KPMG postings alongside their known sponsorship history for this function.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Accounting Manager candidates?
KPMG expects CPA licensure, several years of experience in public accounting, and demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and engagement teams. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is standard, and many roles prefer candidates who have progressed through senior associate or manager-track positions at another Big Four or regional firm.
How do I plan the visa filing timeline when joining KPMG as an Accounting Manager?
If you're on H-1B, USCIS cap registrations open each March for an October 1 start date, so offers accepted in Q1 align best. E-3 applicants can file year-round with shorter lead times. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, DOL's labor certification process typically takes 12 to 18 months or more, so it's worth discussing initiation timelines with KPMG's immigration team early in the offer stage.
