Frame your credentials around U.S. accounting standards
KPMG's Finance Business Partner roles require fluency in U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting frameworks. Before applying, document any formal training or project experience with these standards so your resume signals readiness without additional onboarding.
Target KPMG's industry-aligned finance teams
KPMG organizes Finance Business Partners around specific industry verticals like financial services, healthcare, and technology. Identifying which vertical matches your sector background sharpens your application and increases relevance to the hiring manager reviewing your candidacy.
Apply during KPMG's peak hiring windows
Large professional services firms like KPMG anchor Finance Business Partner hiring to their fiscal calendar and busy season cycles. Applications submitted between August and November tend to align with budget approval periods, when headcount for the following year gets confirmed.
Clarify your visa category early in recruiter conversations
KPMG sponsors both H-1B and E-3 visas for this function. If you're an Australian national, raise E-3 eligibility in your first recruiter call. It simplifies the filing timeline significantly and removes lottery uncertainty from the sponsorship conversation.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Finance Business Partner roles at KPMG
Not every open position at a large firm like KPMG is flagged as sponsorship-eligible on general job boards. Migrate Mate filters specifically for sponsored roles, so you can focus your applications on Finance Business Partner openings where visa support is already confirmed.
Understand the PERM timeline before accepting an offer
If long-term permanent residence is your goal, ask KPMG's immigration team about their PERM initiation policy during the offer stage. Large professional services firms typically start the EB-2 or EB-3 PERM process after a defined period of employment, and knowing that window helps you plan your immigration timeline realistically.

Find Finance Business Partner at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Finance Business Partners?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Finance Business Partner roles. KPMG has an established immigration program and works with internal legal counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying candidates in this function. Because H-1B selection is subject to the annual USCIS lottery, timing your application cycle and confirming sponsorship intent with the recruiter early in the process is important.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Finance Business Partners?
KPMG uses H-1B and E-3 visas for Finance Business Partner roles, with employment-based Green Card pathways available for longer-term employees through the EB-2 or EB-3 PERM process. Australian nationals are well-positioned for the E-3, which has no lottery and can be filed directly through a U.S. consulate, making it a faster path to authorization than the H-1B.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for sponsored Finance Business Partner roles?
KPMG typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, or a closely related field, along with demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, management reporting, or strategic finance. CPA or CFA credentials are often preferred. Proficiency in U.S. GAAP reporting, strong business partnering communication skills, and experience in a professional services or regulated industry environment strengthen your candidacy significantly.
How do I apply for Finance Business Partner jobs at KPMG?
You can browse and apply for Finance Business Partner openings at KPMG directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed. When you apply, tailor your resume to KPMG's industry-aligned finance structure and reference your experience with U.S. GAAP or relevant financial frameworks. Follow up with your recruiter to confirm sponsorship eligibility before advancing to the technical interview stage.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Finance Business Partner offer at KPMG?
For H-1B sponsorship, KPMG must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting the USCIS petition, which adds several weeks to the pre-filing timeline. Standard H-1B processing runs three to five months. E-3 consular processing for Australian nationals is typically faster, often completed within two to six weeks of the employer issuing a certified LCA.
