Align your credentials to KPMG's deal work
KPMG's corporate development function spans M&A advisory, due diligence, and post-merger integration. Frame your resume around transaction volume, deal closings, and financial modeling rather than general strategy, since KPMG's hiring managers prioritize candidates with hands-on deal execution experience.
Target KPMG's Deal Advisory practice directly
Corporate Development Manager openings at KPMG often sit within Deal Advisory or Strategy and Transactions. Searching those practice-specific portals, rather than the general careers page, surfaces roles that explicitly support H-1B and E-3 sponsorship before they circulate more broadly.
Confirm LCA filing timing before accepting an offer
KPMG must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B petition reaches USCIS. Ask your recruiter when the LCA process begins relative to your start date, since delays here compress the window between offer acceptance and your first day.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles efficiently
KPMG posts Corporate Development Manager positions across multiple U.S. markets, and not all listings specify sponsorship availability upfront. Use Migrate Mate to filter KPMG openings by visa type so you focus only on roles that match your H-1B, E-3, or Green Card pathway.
Prepare CPA or CFA credentials for the screening stage
KPMG's corporate development hiring for manager-level roles routinely favors candidates with a CPA, CFA, or both, especially in accounting and auditing contexts. Having active credentials, not just exam eligibility, significantly shortens the internal approval process for sponsorship-eligible hires.
Understand PERM implications for long-term sponsorship
If you're targeting permanent residence through EB-2 or EB-3, KPMG initiates the PERM labor certification process through DOL after H-1B approval. Asking about KPMG's internal timeline for starting PERM gives you a realistic picture of the path to a Green Card from this employer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Corporate Development Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Corporate Development Manager roles. The process involves KPMG filing a Labor Condition Application with DOL and then submitting an H-1B petition to USCIS on your behalf. Cap-subject H-1B petitions are subject to the annual lottery, so timing your offer and registration window matters significantly for roles starting in the October 1 fiscal year.
How do I apply for Corporate Development Manager jobs at KPMG?
Apply through KPMG's careers portal, targeting the Deal Advisory or Strategy and Transactions practice areas where Corporate Development Manager roles are most commonly listed. Tailoring your application to highlight M&A execution, financial modeling, and due diligence experience improves your screening odds. You can also browse KPMG's sponsorship-eligible openings filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate to identify which roles are actively sponsoring.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly sponsor for Corporate Development Manager roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for the broadest pool of international candidates and the E-3 visa for Australian citizens, which offers a simpler process with no lottery. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, KPMG also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification, typically initiated after a period of H-1B employment with the firm.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Corporate Development Manager candidates?
KPMG expects Corporate Development Manager candidates to hold a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a CPA or CFA credential strongly preferred at the manager level. Relevant experience typically includes M&A transaction support, financial due diligence, or post-merger integration work. In accounting and auditing contexts, candidates with Big Four or comparable advisory backgrounds tend to move through screening faster.
How long does KPMG's visa sponsorship process take for this role?
For H-1B sponsorship, KPMG must complete DOL's LCA certification before filing with USCIS, which typically takes two to four weeks for the LCA stage alone. Standard USCIS adjudication can take three to six months, though premium processing reduces that to around 15 business days. E-3 visa applicants generally move faster since the visa is processed at a U.S. consulate abroad without a USCIS petition requirement.
