Frame your credentials around client-facing delivery
KPMG evaluates Project Management Consultants on their ability to manage workstreams directly with clients, not just internal teams. Restructure your resume to lead with engagement scope, stakeholder management, and measurable project outcomes rather than methodology certifications alone.
Target KPMG's advisory and transformation practices
KPMG's technology transformation and deal advisory groups post Project Management Consultant roles more consistently than core audit. Filtering your search to these practice areas puts you in front of managers with active headcount and broader discretion over sponsorship decisions.
Verify your specialty occupation documentation early
USCIS scrutinizes whether Project Management Consultant roles qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B standards. Gather your degree transcripts and any coursework linking your field of study to project management before KPMG's HR team begins the I-129 filing process.
Align your interview timing with the H-1B cap cycle
KPMG typically targets a start date of October 1 for cap-subject H-1B hires, which means USCIS registration opens in March. If you're interviewing in late fall or winter, ask whether the offer can be structured for the upcoming registration window to avoid a full-year gap.
Confirm E-3 eligibility before your offer conversation
If you're an Australian citizen, the E-3 path at KPMG bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and has no annual cap pressure. Confirm your Australian citizenship documents are current before the offer stage so KPMG's immigration team can route your case correctly from the start.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open KPMG roles by sponsorship type
Searching broadly for consulting roles wastes time on positions where sponsorship isn't on the table. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Project Management Consultant openings at KPMG that have active sponsorship history, so you apply where your visa type is already supported.

Find Project Management Consultant at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Project Management Consultants?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Project Management Consultants. The firm has established immigration support processes and works with external immigration counsel to file I-129 petitions for qualifying hires. Cap-subject candidates need to factor in the annual USCIS lottery registration window, which opens each March for an October 1 start date. KPMG's HR team typically coordinates the filing timeline once an offer is accepted.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Project Management Consultant roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most international Project Management Consultant hires. Australian citizens can apply through the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and no annual cap pressure, making it a faster path for eligible candidates. For longer-term employees, KPMG also supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based preference categories via the PERM labor certification process through DOL.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for a Project Management Consultant role?
KPMG generally expects a bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the role, such as business, information systems, engineering, or finance. A PMP certification strengthens your application but rarely substitutes for the degree requirement under USCIS specialty occupation standards. Practical experience managing cross-functional workstreams for external clients, particularly in professional services or regulated industries, carries significant weight in the evaluation process.
How do I apply for Project Management Consultant jobs at KPMG?
You can apply through KPMG's careers portal, but roles with active visa sponsorship aren't always clearly labeled. Migrate Mate filters specifically for KPMG Project Management Consultant openings that have a documented sponsorship history, saving you from applying to positions where the hiring team hasn't supported international candidates before. Once you identify the right role, tailor your application to reflect client engagement experience and project delivery outcomes relevant to KPMG's practice areas.
How do I time my H-1B filing if I receive an offer from KPMG?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, KPMG's immigration team will need to register you in USCIS's online lottery in March for an October 1 start date. Receiving an offer in the fall means waiting roughly five to six months before registration opens. Cap-exempt candidates, such as those already on H-1B with another employer, can transfer to KPMG without waiting for the next cap cycle.
