Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
KPMG's H-1B filings for business development roles require demonstrating a specialty occupation. A degree in business, finance, or a related field strengthens your case significantly more than a general management background when USCIS reviews your petition.
Target KPMG's industry-aligned business development openings
KPMG hires business development managers to grow specific service lines like audit, tax, and advisory. Roles scoped to an industry vertical, such as financial services or healthcare, signal a clearer specialization fit and a stronger internal sponsorship rationale.
Surface your visa status early in recruiter conversations
KPMG's talent acquisition team manages high application volumes. Disclosing your visa requirement in the first recruiter screening, not after an offer, prevents late-stage withdrawal and gives HR time to route your file to their immigration counsel.
Browse KPMG business development roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by role and visa type on Migrate Mate to identify current KPMG business development openings that align with your sponsorship category. This narrows your search to positions where KPMG has already demonstrated willingness to sponsor for this function.
Track PERM timing if a Green Card pathway matters
KPMG-sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions require a PERM labor certification filed with DOL before the immigrant visa petition. PERM processing currently runs 12 to 18 months, so negotiating a start date that allows runway for this stage is practical planning.

Find Business Development Manager at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Manager roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria when tied to a specific service line and supported by a degree in business, finance, or a related field. KPMG's immigration team works with external counsel to manage the petition process, and the firm participates in the annual H-1B registration window each March.
How do I apply for Business Development Manager jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal, where roles are listed by service line and location. Filtering by function and disclosing your visa sponsorship need upfront avoids late-stage complications. Migrate Mate also aggregates current KPMG Business Development Manager openings filtered by visa type, which helps you identify roles where sponsorship has been offered for this function before reaching the interview stage.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Business Development Manager roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for Business Development Managers at the nonimmigrant level, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Cards for longer-term immigration pathways. Australian citizens have a practical advantage through the E-3, which bypasses the H-1B lottery. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree field, and whether you're seeking temporary work authorization or permanent residence from the outset.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Business Development Manager roles?
KPMG typically expects a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field, along with several years of experience in professional services or B2B sales. Industry-specific knowledge, particularly in audit, tax, or advisory markets, carries significant weight. Roles aligned to a specific vertical, such as financial services or technology, may require demonstrated experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder engagements rather than transactional sales.
How do I plan the timeline for a Business Development Manager role at KPMG if I need sponsorship?
If you're pursuing H-1B sponsorship, KPMG must file between April 1 and September 30, with a start date no earlier than October 1. E-3 applicants can begin working within weeks of a consular appointment, making that route significantly faster. For Green Card pathways, expect at least 12 to 18 months for DOL PERM processing alone before USCIS reviews the immigrant petition, so factoring this into your offer negotiations is practical.
