Align your credentials to KPMG's project delivery frameworks
KPMG prioritizes PMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications for Development Manager candidates in professional services. Before applying, verify your credentials map to enterprise transformation or audit technology programs, not just general software delivery.
Target KPMG's advisory and digital transformation practice areas
Development Manager openings in KPMG's Ignition centers and digital delivery arms sponsor more consistently than generalist IT project roles. Filter your search toward cloud migration, ERP implementation, and regulatory technology engagements where sponsorship need is structural.
Understand how KPMG structures its H-1B filings for managers
KPMG files H-1B petitions under specialty occupation status, which requires your Development Manager role to mandate a specific bachelor's degree field. If your degree is in a tangential area, prepare a detailed evaluation from a NACES-accredited credential assessor before your offer stage.
Negotiate offer timing around the H-1B cap calendar
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start date. If KPMG extends an offer between April and September, clarify whether they'll file cap-exempt under a client site arrangement or hold your start until the following fiscal year.
Position yourself for KPMG's internal EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship track
KPMG initiates PERM labor certification for Development Managers who demonstrate sustained performance after one to two years on a nonimmigrant visa. Ask your recruiter directly whether the role is on an established green card sponsorship track before accepting.
Use Migrate Mate to find active Development Manager roles at KPMG
Development Manager openings at KPMG rotate across practice lines and regional offices, making it easy to miss relevant postings. Search Migrate Mate to surface current roles filtered specifically for H-1B and E-3 sponsorship eligibility at KPMG.

Find Development Manager at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Development Manager roles where the position meets specialty occupation requirements under USCIS guidelines. The role must require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. KPMG's dedicated immigration team manages the filing process, and sponsorship is typically confirmed during the offer negotiation stage.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Development Manager roles?
KPMG most commonly sponsors H-1B visas for Development Managers, with E-3 visas available for Australian citizens in qualifying roles. For candidates on a longer pathway to permanent residence, KPMG also initiates EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM labor certification after an initial period of employment, depending on role classification and business need.
What qualifications and experience does KPMG expect for a Development Manager?
KPMG generally looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a closely related field, combined with experience managing cross-functional delivery teams in a professional services or enterprise environment. Certifications such as PMP or SAFe are frequently listed as requirements, and prior client-facing project leadership in audit technology, ERP, or regulatory systems carries significant weight.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at KPMG?
You can apply directly through KPMG's careers portal, where postings are organized by service line and location. To find roles filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility, use Migrate Mate, which surfaces active KPMG Development Manager openings alongside sponsorship details. When applying, tailor your application to the specific practice area, such as advisory, tax technology, or audit transformation, rather than submitting a generic resume.
How do I navigate the timeline from offer to visa filing as a Development Manager at KPMG?
Once KPMG extends an offer, their immigration team typically initiates the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before filing your H-1B petition with USCIS. The full timeline from signed offer to approved status can run several months, and if you're subject to the H-1B cap, your start date will align with the October 1 fiscal year. Clarify your current visa status and any grace period constraints with the recruiter early so there are no gaps in work authorization.
