Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Cybersecurity Lead Jobs at KPMG Jobs
Align Your Credentials to KPMG's Framework
KPMG's cybersecurity practice is built around advisory and assurance work for enterprise clients. Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CRISC signal fluency in the risk-and-compliance language KPMG uses internally and sells to clients, which strengthens your petition's specialty occupation case.
Target KPMG's Advisory Service Lines Directly
KPMG structures cybersecurity hiring under its Advisory and Risk Consulting service lines, not a generic IT department. Filtering your search by these practice areas surfaces Cybersecurity Lead openings that are more likely to include sponsorship language in the posting.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Sponsoring Cybersecurity Roles
Sponsorship eligibility is rarely confirmed until late in the process. Search Migrate Mate to find Cybersecurity Lead roles at KPMG that have a verified sponsorship track record, so you invest your time in applications where authorization support is realistic.
Understand How KPMG Files Your LCA
KPMG files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B or E-3 petition can move forward. The prevailing wage is tied to your work location, so if your role is staffed to a client site rather than a KPMG office, confirm which address KPMG intends to use before the LCA is submitted.
Plan Around the H-1B Cap Timeline If You Need It
If you require a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. KPMG's hiring cycles for senior cybersecurity roles often peak in Q1, so initiating conversations with your recruiter by January gives your offer time to align with the filing window.
Prepare for KPMG's Background and Clearance Process
KPMG's audit and advisory work for regulated industries means background checks are thorough and may include public records, employment verification, and in some cases security clearance eligibility assessments. Delays here can push your start date and affect your petition's filing timeline, so gather employment history documentation early.

Find Cybersecurity Lead at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Cybersecurity Leads?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Cybersecurity Lead roles. Cybersecurity positions at KPMG typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria because they require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific technical or related field. KPMG's immigration team handles the petition process, but you'll need an active offer in hand before sponsorship can begin.
How do I apply for Cybersecurity Lead jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal, where you can filter by service line and location. Cybersecurity Lead roles sit within the Advisory or Risk Consulting practice areas, so searching those categories gives you the most relevant results. You can also browse verified sponsoring openings through Migrate Mate to identify which postings have a confirmed sponsorship track record before you apply.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Cybersecurity Lead roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most international hires in technical and advisory roles, including Cybersecurity Leads. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and operates on a two-year renewable cycle. For candidates on a longer-term path, KPMG also supports Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for a Cybersecurity Lead role?
KPMG typically expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related technical field, along with several years of hands-on cybersecurity experience. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are commonly referenced in job postings. Lead-level roles usually require demonstrated experience managing security programs or advising enterprise clients, not just technical execution.
How do I estimate the timeline from job offer to visa approval at KPMG?
For H-1B transfers from an existing H-1B status, KPMG can file a portability petition and you can begin work upon receipt notice, typically within a few weeks of filing. For new H-1B cap cases, you're looking at an October 1 start date at the earliest. E-3 applicants processing at an Australian consulate generally receive a decision within two to four weeks of their interview.
