Tailor credentials to KPMG's compliance focus areas
KPMG's compliance practice centers on financial crimes, regulatory risk, and ESG compliance. Align your resume and credentials to these tracks before applying, highlighting any AML, KYC, or regulatory advisory experience that maps to their service lines.
Target KPMG's Advisory practice over Audit
Compliance Consultant openings sit predominantly within KPMG's Advisory division, not Audit. Filtering your search to Advisory roles reduces competition and puts you in front of hiring managers who regularly work with sponsored candidates on complex regulatory engagements.
Get your CPA or CAMS credential before interviewing
KPMG's compliance roles frequently list a CPA, CAMS, or relevant regulatory certification as a differentiator. Having one in hand before your interviews signals you won't need ramp-up time, which matters to partners evaluating whether to commit to sponsorship costs.
Understand how H-1B timing affects your start date
If you need an H-1B, USCIS's October 1 cap-subject start date applies. Discuss this timeline with your KPMG recruiter early so the offer letter and onboarding plan account for the gap between a March lottery registration and an October employment start.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Compliance Consultant roles at KPMG
Sponsorship-eligible Compliance Consultant positions at KPMG aren't always flagged on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified KPMG openings filtered by visa type, so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is confirmed and actively offered.
Ask HR about PERM timing before accepting an offer
For candidates pursuing a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, KPMG's PERM filing timeline varies by practice group. Confirm during the offer stage whether your prospective team has an established process, since labor certification can take 12 to 18 months before the I-140 stage even begins.

Find Compliance Consultant at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance Consultants?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Compliance Consultants, particularly within its Advisory division. The firm participates in the annual H-1B lottery each March for cap-subject candidates, and it also hires candidates who are already in H-1B status through transfers. If you're on OPT or a cap-exempt visa, discuss your status with the recruiter early so KPMG's immigration team can plan accordingly.
How do I apply for Compliance Consultant jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal, where roles are listed by service line and location. Filter for Advisory positions and specify your visa sponsorship needs during the application or screening call. For a faster way to identify which open roles are actively sponsoring, Migrate Mate surfaces verified KPMG Compliance Consultant listings filtered by visa type, saving you from applying to roles that won't support sponsorship.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Compliance Consultants?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most Compliance Consultant hires requiring work authorization. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which bypasses the H-1B lottery and allows faster processing at a U.S. consulate. For candidates on a long-term path, KPMG also supports Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories once you've established tenure in the role.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Compliance Consultant roles?
Most Compliance Consultant positions at KPMG require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B eligibility. Relevant certifications such as CPA, CAMS, or CFE strengthen your candidacy. Prior experience in financial services regulatory work, AML compliance, or internal controls is frequently listed as a differentiator rather than just a preference.
How do I time my application around KPMG's sponsorship process?
If you need a new H-1B, plan to have an offer finalized before late February so KPMG can register you in the March lottery. E-3 applicants can interview and receive an offer on a more flexible timeline since there's no lottery. For PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, the process typically begins after at least one year of employment, and labor certification alone can take 12 to 18 months through DOL review.
