Align your credentials to KPMG's compliance framework
KPMG's compliance program managers typically come from AML, SOX, or regulatory advisory backgrounds. Certifications like CAMS, CCEP, or CPA signal fluency in the control environments KPMG deploys across its audit and advisory practices, which strengthens your sponsorship case.
Target KPMG's advisory and risk service lines
Compliance Program Manager openings at KPMG concentrate heavily in its Risk Consulting and Regulatory Risk practices. Filtering your search to these service lines surfaces roles with dedicated compliance mandates rather than hybrid positions where sponsorship appetite can be harder to confirm.
Understand how the H-1B cap affects your timeline
KPMG files H-1B registrations in March for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing in late spring or summer, you'll likely need to plan for a cap-exempt bridge or wait for the next lottery cycle, so raise timeline constraints early in conversations with the recruiter.
Ask about E-3 eligibility if you hold Australian citizenship
Australian nationals can sidestep the H-1B lottery entirely through the E-3 visa. KPMG sponsors E-3 petitions for this function, and because the E-3 cap is rarely exhausted, you can start substantially sooner than an H-1B cohort hired at the same time.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open compliance roles at KPMG
Compliance Program Manager postings at KPMG turn over quickly across offices. Use Migrate Mate to filter active openings specifically verified for visa sponsorship, so you're applying to roles with confirmed pathways rather than guessing from a standard job listing.
Prepare for PERM labor certification early in the green card conversation
KPMG initiates PERM filings under EB-2 or EB-3 for compliance professionals, but DOL's supervised recruitment requirements mean the process starts well before you'd expect. Ask your KPMG immigration contact when the clock typically starts for professionals at your level.

Find Compliance Program Manager at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance Program Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Compliance Program Managers. The role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria given its degree requirements in fields like accounting, finance, or law. KPMG participates in the annual H-1B lottery each March, with approved petitions taking effect October 1. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, KPMG can file an H-1B transfer, letting you start before USCIS issues a final decision.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Compliance Program Manager roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B, E-3, and permanent residence pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for this function. H-1B is the most common route for candidates without a qualifying nationality. Australian citizens can use the E-3, which avoids the lottery entirely. For long-term employees, KPMG typically initiates PERM-based Green Card sponsorship once you've demonstrated performance in the role.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Compliance Program Manager positions?
KPMG generally expects a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field, along with several years of experience in regulatory compliance, internal audit, or risk advisory. Professional certifications such as CPA, CAMS, or CCEP carry weight, particularly for roles embedded in the firm's Risk Consulting or Regulatory Risk service lines. Industry experience in financial services or healthcare compliance is a recurring preference in job postings.
How do I apply for Compliance Program Manager jobs at KPMG?
You can apply directly through KPMG's careers portal or find verified sponsorship-eligible openings through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can confirm the position supports your specific situation before applying. When you apply, tailor your materials to the service line you're targeting. KPMG's compliance hiring often moves through multiple rounds including a technical screen, a case-based interview, and a partner-level conversation.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at KPMG for this role?
For H-1B, the timeline runs from the March lottery registration to an October 1 start date, though premium processing through USCIS can accelerate adjudication to roughly 15 business days once the petition is filed. E-3 petitions for Australian nationals can move faster, often completing consular processing within a few weeks of receiving a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically takes two or more years from initiation to approval.
