Align Your Credentials to KPMG's Frameworks
KPMG's Compliance hiring leans heavily on candidates with credentials like the CAMS, CFE, or CPA that map to its audit and regulatory risk practice areas. Certifications tied to AML, financial crime, or SOX compliance carry real weight in the screening process.
Target Practice Areas That File Sponsorships
KPMG's Financial Crimes, Risk Regulatory and Legal, and Internal Audit practices are the functions most likely to sponsor visas for Compliance roles. Focus your applications there rather than applying broadly across all service lines.
Search Compliance Openings on Migrate Mate
KPMG posts Compliance roles across multiple offices and practice areas simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for KPMG Compliance positions that include visa sponsorship, so you're not manually sorting through postings that won't support your status.
Understand the LCA's Impact on Your Offer Location
KPMG's Labor Condition Application filed with DOL locks your prevailing wage to a specific office location. If your role has flexibility to sit in multiple cities, the office listed on your LCA directly affects your certified wage level and title.
Plan Around the H-1B Cap if You're OPT or Unlicensed
If you're on F-1 OPT without a CPA license and applying to KPMG's cap-subject positions, your start date is tied to the October 1 fiscal year. Securing an offer by March and filing in April is the only path to a timely transition.

Find Compliance at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance roles?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Compliance positions, particularly within its Risk Regulatory and Legal, Financial Crimes, and Internal Audit practices. The firm files petitions annually through the USCIS H-1B cap process, so timing your offer around the April filing window matters if you're not already in H-1B status or at a cap-exempt institution.
How do I apply for Compliance jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal, where Compliance roles are listed under the Advisory and Risk Regulatory service lines. Filtering by location and practice area narrows the results significantly. You can also browse Compliance openings at KPMG that explicitly include visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which surfaces relevant postings in one place without requiring you to manually check each listing.
Which visa types does KPMG typically use for Compliance hires?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most international Compliance hires, and E-3 visas for Australian nationals in qualifying specialty occupation roles. For longer-term pathways, KPMG has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Compliance professionals, typically after an employee has been with the firm for a period and the role meets PERM labor certification requirements.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Compliance roles?
KPMG's Compliance positions generally require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field, with professional certifications like the CPA, CAMS, or CFE viewed favorably depending on the practice area. Roles in financial crime and AML compliance tend to require prior regulatory, banking, or Big Four experience. Entry-level Compliance positions are less common than mid-level advisory or assurance-oriented roles.
How long does KPMG's visa sponsorship process take for Compliance hires?
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS standard processing runs three to six months after the April filing window, with an October 1 start date for cap-subject cases. E-3 applications processed at a U.S. consulate can move faster, often within two to four weeks of the interview. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, if pursued, typically adds one to three years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
