Job ID: 19576
Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.
Job Overview
Intuit’s Legal, Compliance, and Policy Organization (“LCPO”) is currently seeking a talented, well-versed, and experienced Compliance Manager to serve as a subject matter expert on consumer protection regulations. This role will focus on driving demonstrable compliance oversight for products and services subject to the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (Regulation E) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
The Consumer Protection Compliance Manager will be responsible for partnering with critical stakeholders to scale controls and processes that ensure adherence to consumer protection laws while enabling operational velocity. If you are passionate about innovation, solving tough customer challenges, and leveraging compliance as a strategic advantage, then come join our team!
Responsibilities
Unified Compliance Oversight: Leverage deep subject matter expertise in both EFTA/Regulation E and FCRA to accelerate effective oversight functions. Ensure compliance with error resolution requirements, disclosure rules, data furnishing accuracy (Metro 2), and dispute reinvestigation timelines established by regulators.
Product Enablement: Partner closely with various business leaders, product managers, operations teams, and Legal and Compliance colleagues to provide regulatory guidance on new and existing products. Translate complex regulatory intersection points (e.g., money movement vs. credit reporting) into clear product requirements that minimize re-work and enable faster launches.
Risk & Customer Experience: Assess and advise on best practices to mitigate consumer harm and ensure a compliant customer experience related to electronic fund transfers, payment services, and credit reporting. Proactively identify "pattern and practice" risks where payment errors could trigger downstream credit reporting liability.
Policy & Frameworks: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training materials related to Regulation E, FCRA, and other consumer protection regulations.
Reporting & Monitoring: Report emerging issues, regulatory changes, and risks to appropriate business and Legal and Compliance leaders. Manage the feedback loop between dispute data and product teams to solve root causes of recurring errors.
Qualifications
Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of consumer compliance experience, preferably in the FinTech or financial services industry. CRCM or similar certification highly preferred.
Domain Expertise: Deep expertise in consumer protection compliance (Reg E and FCRA), with a strong understanding of their application to innovative financial products.
Regulatory Breadth: Broad familiarity with other consumer financial protection laws and regulations (e.g., UDAAP, ECOA, TILA) and their intersection with FinTech products, including subscriptions and money movement.
Operational Scale: Proven experience building or enhancing Compliance Management Systems (CMS) and scaling internal controls to drive impactful results in a high-velocity environment.
Communication: Proven ability to synthesize complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable guidance for cross-functional stakeholders. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills, with strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Align your credentials to fintech compliance
Intuit operates in tax, payments, and small business finance, so credentials like CAMS, CRCM, or CFE signal direct relevance. Hiring teams for Compliance roles look for regulatory experience tied to financial products, not just general compliance backgrounds.
Target roles that match your visa type
Intuit sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT among others, but not every Compliance posting is structured the same way. If you're on OPT, prioritize roles with clear specialty occupation framing, since Compliance titles can vary in how USCIS evaluates degree requirements.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter Compliance openings at Intuit by visa type on Migrate Mate to surface roles where sponsorship has been confirmed. This cuts through job listings that mention sponsorship vaguely and connects you directly to positions with a documented filing history.
Address the specialty occupation question early
Compliance roles at tech companies sometimes face USCIS scrutiny over whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation. During interviews, ask the recruiter how the role is defined in the Labor Condition Application and whether a specific degree field is listed.
Time your application around H-1B cap dates
If you need a new H-1B, Intuit must register you in the USCIS lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start. Build your job search timeline so you're actively interviewing between November and February to give the employer enough lead time.
Get your PERM documentation in order early
For Compliance roles on an EB-2 or EB-3 track, the DOL PERM process requires detailed documentation of your qualifications and prior experience. Gather official transcripts, employment verification letters, and any professional certifications before your employer initiates the labor certification.

Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance roles?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Compliance positions. The company files petitions across corporate functions including compliance, legal, and risk, and has done so consistently. Because Compliance roles vary in how USCIS assesses specialty occupation status, it helps to confirm during the hiring process that your specific role is structured to meet that standard.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly sponsor for Compliance jobs?
Intuit sponsors a broad range of visa types for Compliance roles, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, J-1, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree level, and career stage.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for Compliance positions?
Intuit typically looks for a bachelor's degree in law, finance, accounting, or a related field for Compliance roles. Experience in financial services or fintech regulation carries real weight given Intuit's product areas across tax, payments, and lending. Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or CRCM can strengthen your application, particularly for senior or specialist positions.
How do I apply for Compliance jobs at Intuit?
You can browse open Compliance positions directly on Intuit's careers site or use Migrate Mate to filter for Intuit roles by visa type, which helps you identify openings where sponsorship has been documented. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect regulatory experience relevant to fintech, and be upfront about your visa needs early in the screening process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for an Intuit Compliance role?
Timeline depends on your current status. F-1 OPT students should apply for STEM OPT extension before the standard 12-month period expires. H-1B candidates need to be registered in the March lottery for an October 1 start date, so targeting interviews between November and February gives Intuit enough runway. E-3 and TN holders can start sooner since those categories aren't subject to annual caps or lottery selection.
