Align your credentials to WSP's regulatory focus
WSP's Compliance hiring leans toward candidates with documented experience in environmental permitting, EHS frameworks, or federal regulatory programs. Certifications like CCP or CHMM signal field-specific competency that resonates with their consulting practice hiring managers.
Target roles tied to federal project work
WSP's federal and infrastructure contracts often require Compliance staff with clearance-eligible backgrounds or sector-specific regulatory knowledge. Applying to positions tied to government clients gives you stronger leverage because those roles have structured headcount plans and defined sponsorship budgets.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Compliance openings by visa type
WSP posts Compliance roles across multiple locations with varying sponsorship eligibility. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for WSP positions that match your visa category so you're applying where sponsorship is already part of the role's hiring plan.
Ask about LCA filing timelines before accepting
Before you sign an offer, confirm when WSP's legal team will file the Labor Condition Application with DOL. LCA certification typically takes seven business days, but delays push back your start date. Know the sequence before committing.
Position PERM eligibility as a retention asset
WSP's consulting model favors long-term project continuity, so framing your PERM-eligible profile as a stability signal can strengthen your candidacy. Hiring managers in Compliance are often involved in staffing multi-year contracts where turnover has real cost implications.

Does WSP sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance roles?
Yes, WSP sponsors H-1B visas for Compliance positions. Their legal and HR teams manage the filing process, which includes the annual USCIS lottery in April for cap-subject cases. Candidates already holding H-1B status through a previous employer can transfer to WSP outside the lottery, which is a common path for experienced Compliance hires.
How do I apply for Compliance jobs at WSP?
Applications go through WSP's careers portal, where Compliance roles are listed by region and practice area. You can also browse WSP's open Compliance positions on Migrate Mate, which lets you filter by visa sponsorship type so you can focus on roles where your specific work authorization is supported before you apply.
Which visa types does WSP typically support for Compliance hires?
WSP supports a range of visa categories for Compliance professionals, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 PERM is also available for eligible candidates in longer-term roles, typically after an initial period of employment.
What qualifications does WSP look for in Compliance candidates seeking sponsorship?
WSP's Compliance roles generally require a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, law, or a related technical field. Practical experience with federal or state regulatory frameworks, EHS program management, or permitting strengthens your application. For sponsorship eligibility specifically, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which degree-tied Compliance positions typically satisfy.
How do I manage the timing between a WSP offer and my visa filing?
Once WSP extends an offer, their legal team initiates the Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process the H-1B petition. If you're on OPT, confirm your authorization end date aligns with the filing window. Cap-exempt scenarios, like a transfer from another H-1B employer, move faster and don't depend on the April lottery cycle.
