Align your credentials to U.S. CPA requirements
KPMG's Corporate Accounting Manager roles typically require a CPA or active progress toward one. If your credentials are from outside the U.S., get a NASBA evaluation completed before applying so hiring managers can immediately assess equivalency.
Target KPMG's audit and advisory service lines
Corporate Accounting Manager openings at KPMG cluster in their Audit, Deal Advisory, and ESG Assurance practices. Applying through the correct service line increases your chances of reaching a team that regularly files petitions for this specific role.
Clarify your visa type before recruiter conversations
KPMG sponsors H-1B, E-3, and employer-sponsored Green Cards, but each carries different timelines. If you're on OPT with a cap-gap situation approaching, communicate your authorization end date upfront so recruiters can flag your file for timely petition filing.
Ask specifically about PERM sponsorship timelines
For Corporate Accounting Manager roles, KPMG has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship. During offer negotiations, ask which green card category applies to your role and whether PERM recruitment has already begun, since DOL's PERM process adds significant time to permanent residence timelines.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
KPMG posts Corporate Accounting Manager openings across multiple locations at once. Use Migrate Mate to filter active KPMG listings by the visa category you need, so you're applying to offices and service lines that have a verified sponsorship track record for this role.
Prepare for technical interviews covering ASC 805 and consolidations
KPMG's Corporate Accounting Manager interview process tests applied knowledge of business combinations, intercompany eliminations, and close processes. Preparing concrete examples from your experience with these areas signals readiness for the role's actual scope, which strengthens the internal business case for sponsorship.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Corporate Accounting Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Corporate Accounting Manager roles. The role qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. KPMG's immigration team manages the petition process internally, coordinating with USCIS on filing deadlines and any requests for evidence.
How do I apply for Corporate Accounting Manager jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal at kpmg.com/careers, where you can filter by function and location. Migrate Mate also aggregates KPMG's Corporate Accounting Manager listings and lets you filter by visa sponsorship type, which is useful if you need to confirm a specific visa category before applying. Tailoring your resume to the relevant service line, such as Audit or Deal Advisory, improves callback rates.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Corporate Accounting Manager roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most nationalities and E-3 visas for Australian citizens in this role. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, KPMG has filed EB-2 and EB-3 petitions for Corporate Accounting Managers through the PERM labor certification process. The applicable visa category depends on your nationality, current immigration status, and the specific office location.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Corporate Accounting Manager candidates seeking sponsorship?
KPMG generally requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, a CPA license or demonstrated progress toward one, and several years of experience in financial close, consolidation, or external audit. Candidates with Big Four backgrounds or experience in technical accounting areas such as ASC 606, ASC 842, or purchase accounting tend to move further in the process.
How do I estimate the timeline from offer to work authorization at KPMG?
Timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B standard processing through USCIS currently runs three to six months, while premium processing cuts that to roughly 15 business days. E-3 consular appointments in Australia add two to eight weeks depending on the consulate. KPMG's immigration team typically coordinates filing once an offer is signed, so clarifying your start date flexibility during negotiations helps avoid gaps in authorization.
