Frame your credentials around client delivery
KPMG engineering roles sit inside a professional services firm, not a product company. Tailor your resume to show how your technical work delivered measurable outcomes for internal or external clients, not just shipped features or maintained infrastructure.
Target roles tied to KPMG's advisory platforms
KPMG builds proprietary platforms for audit automation, risk analytics, and tax technology. Engineering openings connected to these products tend to have clearer sponsorship pathways because headcount is budgeted against long-term product roadmaps rather than short-term project staffing.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship openings
Not every engineering posting at KPMG will explicitly mention visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles where KPMG has an active sponsorship track record for your visa type, so you're applying where the process is already understood internally.
Clarify your visa status before the offer stage
KPMG's legal and HR teams handle sponsorship through a structured intake process. Disclosing your visa type during the recruiter screen, not after an offer, prevents delays caused by internal approval workflows that require sign-off from practice leadership before a formal offer can include sponsorship.
Understand how LCA prevailing wages apply to your role
DOL requires KPMG to file a Labor Condition Application certifying your wage meets the prevailing rate for the role's location and job title. In high-cost markets like New York or San Francisco, this wage floor often exceeds standard entry-level engineering bands, so confirm the offered salary satisfies the LCA requirement before signing.
Prepare degree equivalency documentation early for E-3 applicants
Australian engineers applying for the E-3 often hold three-year bachelor's degrees. KPMG's HR team may not independently assess foreign credential equivalency, so obtaining a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization before your interview removes a common bottleneck in the offer and filing process.

Find Engineering at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for engineering roles, particularly those tied to its audit technology, data, and enterprise platform teams. Sponsorship is managed through KPMG's internal immigration team in coordination with outside counsel. Because H-1B sponsorship requires practice-level budget approval, roles on established product teams typically move through the process more smoothly than project-based or client-embedded positions.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal at kpmg.com/us/careers. Search by function using terms like 'engineer,' 'software,' or 'technology' alongside the relevant service line. Migrate Mate is a reliable way to browse KPMG engineering openings that have a verified sponsorship history, helping you prioritize roles where your visa type is already supported before you invest time in the application.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Engineering roles?
KPMG most commonly sponsors H-1B visas for engineering hires, with E-3 visas available for Australian citizens in qualifying specialty occupation roles. For longer-term or senior engineering talent, KPMG may also support Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories, typically after an employee has established a track record in the firm.
What qualifications does KPMG typically expect for sponsored Engineering roles?
Most sponsored engineering roles at KPMG require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a closely related field. Because H-1B and E-3 visas require the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, USCIS scrutinizes the degree-to-job match. Roles requiring a general degree with no field specificity are less likely to clear that threshold, so targeting postings with explicit technical degree requirements strengthens your application.
How do I know if I'll clear the H-1B cap before starting at KPMG?
KPMG is a cap-subject employer, so new H-1B hires who have never held H-1B status must enter the annual lottery, which USCIS runs in March for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you can begin employment while your petition is pending under the cap-gap rule, provided your OPT and the academic year align with the lottery timeline.
