General Summary:
As an Engineering Technician, you will frequently collaborate with Engineers across Qualcomm to optimize the utilization of our equipment and components. You will play a key role in the preliminary stages of our technical processes. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up and maintains benches, testers, and other equipment. Transports, installs, upgrades, and configures equipment and components.
Performs measurements, documents test results and KPIs, and maintains malfunction records.
Troubleshoots and performs repair work, rework, removal, and adjustments to equipment as necessary with individuals inside own team and with other teams.
Sets up test equipment using hand tools or automatic test methods to perform tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
Executes manual and automated test plans and provides some input on test cases and test procedures; reproduces and debugs issues.
Tracks the purchasing, shipping/transporting, receiving, and usage of inventory and equipment for test labs, field engineering, and business unit projects.
Level of Responsibility:
Works under supervision.
Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
