Align your credentials to KPMG's service lines
KPMG structures its consulting practice into distinct service lines like Deal Advisory, Risk, and Management Consulting. Framing your background around one specific line, rather than generic consulting, signals readiness and makes the sponsorship case cleaner for hiring managers.
Target KPMG's campus and experienced hire pipelines separately
KPMG recruits Professional Services Consultants through two distinct tracks. Campus hires typically enter through structured programs with defined sponsorship timelines. Experienced hires face a different process, so confirm which track you qualify for before applying to avoid misaligned expectations.
Confirm your visa category before the offer stage
KPMG sponsors H-1B, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards for this role. If you're Australian, the E-3 bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and has a faster path to an offer. Clarify which category applies to you before negotiations begin so HR can route your file correctly.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation early
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. In professional services, this means documenting that the position requires a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. Have your transcripts and role description aligned before your employer files.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Professional Services Consultant roles at KPMG
Sponsorship-eligible openings at firms like KPMG don't always surface on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for KPMG Professional Services Consultant roles that are open to visa sponsorship, saving time and improving your targeting.
Understand KPMG's PERM timeline for Green Card progression
If long-term status is your goal, ask recruiters about KPMG's standard timeline for initiating PERM labor certification. DOL processing adds months before USCIS adjudicates your I-140, so understanding when KPMG typically starts that process for consultants helps you plan realistically.

Find Professional Services Consultant at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultant roles. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, your employer must register you in March for an October start date. KPMG's size and established immigration infrastructure means they're experienced with the process, but the lottery outcome is outside anyone's control.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Professional Services Consultant roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards (EB-2 and EB-3) for this role. Australian citizens are strong candidates for the E-3, which has no lottery and can be processed at a U.S. consulate. The H-1B is the most common path for other nationalities. Green Card sponsorship typically follows after a period of employment.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Professional Services Consultant roles?
KPMG typically expects a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline. For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning the degree field must align specifically with the job. CPA progress, relevant certifications, and prior consulting or audit internship experience strengthen your candidacy significantly.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at KPMG?
Start by browsing open roles on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers like KPMG. Apply directly through KPMG's careers portal and indicate your visa sponsorship needs upfront. KPMG's recruiting process typically includes multiple interview rounds. Being clear about your sponsorship status early prevents delays once an offer is extended.
How do I understand the timeline from offer to work authorization at KPMG?
The timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 applicants can often start within four to eight weeks of receiving a signed offer, since the visa is processed at a consulate. H-1B petitions filed under standard processing take three to five months after USCIS receives the petition on April 1, with an October 1 start date. Confirm your category with KPMG's HR team as early as possible.
