Align Your Credentials With KPMG's Expectations
KPMG Managing Directors typically hold CPA licensure alongside advanced degrees in accounting, finance, or a related field. If your credentials were issued outside the U.S., get a formal equivalency evaluation before you apply so USCIS specialty occupation requirements aren't a bottleneck later.
Target Practice Lines With Active Hiring
KPMG's audit, tax, and advisory practices hire Managing Directors at different cadences. Research which service lines are expanding in your target office by tracking KPMG's public announcements and DOL Labor Condition Application disclosures, which show where the firm has recently filed for sponsored roles.
Surface Sponsorship Willingness Early in Conversations
KPMG's talent acquisition team handles sponsorship centrally, not at the hiring manager level. Raise your visa status in the first recruiter call rather than after an offer, so the firm's immigration team can flag any conflicts with their current H-1B or E-3 filing timelines before you invest in the process.
Understand the LCA's Role in Your Offer
Before KPMG can file an H-1B or E-3 petition with USCIS, it must certify a Labor Condition Application with DOL confirming the offered salary meets prevailing wage for your specific metro area and role. A delay or wage-level mismatch at the LCA stage can push your start date by weeks.
Plan Around the H-1B Cap If You're Cap-Subject
If you're currently on OPT or another cap-subject status, KPMG can only file your H-1B petition during the April registration window for an October 1 start. Build your job search timeline backward from that date so you're interviewing in Q4 of the prior year, not Q1 when it's already too late.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Managing Director Roles
Migrate Mate filters KPMG's open Managing Director positions by visa type, so you can identify which roles align with your sponsorship needs before you apply. This saves time you'd otherwise spend screening postings that don't match your authorization pathway.

Find Managing Director at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Managing Directors?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Managing Directors. The process requires KPMG to first file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL, then submit an I-129 petition to USCIS. If you're cap-subject, the petition must be filed during the April registration window. Cap-exempt candidates, such as those already holding H-1B status with another employer, can transfer at any time of year.
How do I apply for Managing Director jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal. Managing Director roles at this level are rarely posted broadly and often filled through referrals or executive recruiters who specialize in professional services. Migrate Mate aggregates KPMG's open Managing Director positions filtered by visa sponsorship type, which gives you a focused starting point before reaching out directly or applying through the firm's portal.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Managing Directors?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for senior professional roles. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and allows year-round filing. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, KPMG also files EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa petitions, which typically involve PERM labor certification through DOL before an I-140 petition can be submitted to USCIS.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Managing Director roles?
KPMG Managing Directors are expected to bring deep technical expertise in accounting, auditing, tax, or advisory, typically backed by a CPA license and an advanced degree. Most candidates have ten or more years of progressive experience in professional services, with a demonstrated book of business or sector specialization. USCIS specialty occupation requirements mean your degree field must align directly with the scope of the role.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a KPMG Managing Director offer?
For H-1B transfers from an existing H-1B, USCIS allows you to start work as soon as the petition is received, provided it's filed before your current status expires. New cap-subject H-1B cases follow the April lottery and October 1 start date cycle, meaning the process can span six or more months from registration to start date. E-3 consular processing in Australia typically runs two to four weeks once KPMG has completed the LCA.
