Frame Your PMP Around Client Deliverables
KPMG's hiring managers for program management roles look for candidates who can demonstrate end-to-end client engagement experience. Document your project lifecycle ownership, stakeholder management, and delivery metrics before applying, since these directly map to KPMG's client-facing work model.
Target Advisory and Transformation Practice Postings
Project Program Manager openings at KPMG's Advisory and Management Consulting practices sponsor more consistently than back-office equivalents. Filter your search toward transformation, technology risk, and digital advisory roles, where program management is a billable client function and headcount justification for sponsorship is stronger.
Understand How KPMG Structures LCA Filings
KPMG files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Because KPMG operates across client sites, your LCA may list multiple worksite locations. Confirm with your recruiter which office or client location will be your primary site, since this affects the prevailing wage tier DOL uses.
Time Your Application Around KPMG's Hiring Cycles
KPMG ramps Project Program Manager hiring in late Q3 and early Q4 to staff fiscal-year engagements. Applying between August and October positions you for offers that can align with the April H-1B cap-subject filing window, giving your employer maximum lead time before the lottery.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active KPMG Postings
KPMG's Project Program Manager roles with confirmed sponsorship are tracked on Migrate Mate. Search the platform to filter active KPMG postings by visa type, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship has already been documented rather than guessing from a generic job board listing.
Prepare for KPMG's Internal Visa Review Process
After an offer, KPMG routes sponsorship requests through its internal immigration team before engaging outside counsel. Have your degree certificates, transcripts, and any prior visa approval notices ready immediately. Delays in providing documents can push your I-129 filing past critical USCIS deadlines.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles, particularly within its Advisory and Management Consulting practices where program management is tied directly to client engagements. KPMG works with an in-house immigration team and external immigration counsel to handle the Labor Condition Application filing with DOL and the subsequent I-129 petition to USCIS.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most cap-subject candidates and E-3 visas for Australian citizens in Project Program Manager roles. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, KPMG supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which require PERM labor certification through DOL before an immigrant petition can be filed with USCIS.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for a Project Program Manager role?
KPMG generally expects a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects in a professional services or enterprise environment. PMP certification is valued, particularly for roles in Advisory. Experience leading workstreams on client-facing audit, risk, or technology transformation engagements is a strong differentiator.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at KPMG?
You can find active Project Program Manager openings at KPMG through Migrate Mate, which filters postings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. Once you identify a relevant role, applications go through KPMG's careers portal. Tailor your resume to reflect client delivery experience and project governance, since KPMG's screening prioritizes these over general management skills.
How do I manage my visa timeline after receiving an offer from KPMG?
After an offer, KPMG's immigration team initiates your LCA filing with DOL, which must be certified before the H-1B petition is submitted to USCIS. For cap-subject H-1B cases, USCIS registration opens in March and selection happens in April. If you're in the 60-day grace period between jobs or nearing OPT expiration, communicate your status to the recruiter immediately so the timeline can be structured accordingly.
