Align your credentials to KPMG's framework
KPMG's security hiring leans heavily on certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA alongside demonstrated client-facing experience. Before applying, make sure your resume maps these credentials explicitly to risk governance and compliance work, not just technical operations.
Target KPMG's advisory and risk service lines
Security Manager roles at KPMG often sit within Cyber, Risk, or Technology Advisory rather than internal IT. Filtering your job search to these service lines surfaces roles where visa sponsorship is more routinely built into the hiring pipeline for senior security professionals.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Security Manager roles
Searching for sponsorship-eligible Security Manager positions across a firm as large as KPMG means filtering out roles that won't support your visa category. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified open roles at KPMG filtered by visa type before you apply.
Clarify your visa category early in interviews
If you're on H-1B or E-3 status, raise your current authorization and transfer timeline before the offer stage, not after. KPMG's talent acquisition teams are experienced with sponsored candidates, but delays in disclosing your status can create unnecessary friction during offer negotiations.
Understand the LCA requirement for your specific office
KPMG operates across dozens of U.S. metro offices, and your Labor Condition Application must match the specific worksite location. If your role involves multi-site client engagements, confirm with your recruiter how the LCA will be structured before USCIS petition filing begins.
Build a portfolio of audit-adjacent security work
KPMG's Security Manager candidates are expected to understand regulated industries like financial services and healthcare. Documenting experience with SOC 2, NIST, or PCI-DSS frameworks in audit contexts directly strengthens your application for roles inside an accounting and auditing firm.

Find Security Manager at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Security Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Security Manager roles, particularly within its Cyber and Risk Advisory service lines. Security Manager positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria given the degree and certification requirements involved. Because KPMG is a large employer, it participates in the H-1B cap season annually, so timing your offer and petition filing around the April 1 filing window is important.
How do I apply for Security Manager jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal, where you can filter by service line and location. Security Manager roles typically appear under Cyber, Risk, or Technology Advisory. Use Migrate Mate to browse currently open Security Manager positions at KPMG that are flagged for visa sponsorship, then apply directly through KPMG's site with a resume that highlights compliance frameworks, client advisory experience, and relevant certifications.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Security Manager roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most international Security Manager hires, along with E-3 visas for Australian citizens, which skip the lottery entirely. For longer-term paths, KPMG also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for qualifying employees. The right visa type depends on your nationality, current status, and the specific role you're being hired for, so confirm the pathway with KPMG's immigration team once you receive an offer.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Security Manager roles?
KPMG typically looks for a bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field, along with professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA. Hands-on experience with security governance, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks like NIST, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 is expected. Client-facing advisory experience is a strong differentiator, particularly if it involves regulated industries like financial services or healthcare.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take once I have an offer from KPMG?
For H-1B transfers from existing status, KPMG can typically file immediately with an October 1 start date or earlier under cap-exempt circumstances. New H-1B petitions are subject to the annual lottery, with filing in April and employment starting October 1 at the earliest. E-3 sponsorship moves faster since there's no lottery and consular processing in Australia generally takes two to six weeks after the employer completes the Labor Condition Application with DOL.
