Frame your credentials around U.S. equivalency early
If your accounting degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation completed before you apply. Aprio hires for client-facing roles where CPA eligibility matters, and demonstrating U.S. licensure progress signals you're ready to practice without delays.
Target service lines with consistent hiring volume
Aprio runs ongoing Accounting Manager searches across tax, audit, and advisory functions. Applying to a specific service line rather than a generic opening shows focus and increases your chances of landing with a team that has active sponsorship precedent for this role.
Ask about sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Aprio has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for accounting roles. When you reach the offer stage, ask directly whether the role qualifies for employer-sponsored permanent residence and what the PERM labor certification process looks like on their end.
Understand how PERM timing affects your start date
The DOL's PERM labor certification process can take a year or more before an I-140 petition is filed. If you're already in the U.S. on a work visa, factor in your current status expiration and whether your employer can bridge the gap through extensions.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Accounting Manager openings at Aprio
Accounting Manager roles at Aprio don't always stay open long. Use Migrate Mate to filter for sponsorship-eligible positions at Aprio specifically, so you're applying to openings where the immigration pathway is already established rather than negotiating it from scratch.
Align your experience with Aprio's client industry mix
Aprio serves clients in sectors like healthcare, real estate, and professional services. Accounting Managers with industry-specific experience in these areas strengthen both their candidacy and the employer's PERM case, since DOL scrutinizes whether the role's requirements are genuinely tied to the position.

Find Accounting Manager at Aprio JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Aprio sponsor H-1B visas for Accounting Managers?
Aprio's documented sponsorship activity for Accounting Manager roles is concentrated on permanent residence pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, rather than H-1B nonimmigrant status. If you're currently on an H-1B with another employer, a transfer to Aprio is possible, but you'll want to confirm with their HR team whether they file H-1B cap-exempt or new cap-subject petitions for this role.
Which visa types are commonly used for Accounting Manager roles at Aprio?
The sponsorship activity associated with Accounting Manager positions at Aprio points toward employment-based Green Card categories, particularly EB-2 (for roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability) and EB-3 (for positions requiring a bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience). Both pathways require the employer to complete DOL PERM labor certification before filing an immigrant petition with USCIS.
What qualifications and experience does Aprio expect for Accounting Manager roles?
Aprio typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, several years of progressive public accounting or industry experience, and CPA licensure or active candidacy. At the manager level, client management experience and familiarity with U.S. GAAP reporting standards are expected. Service line specialization in tax, audit, or advisory strengthens your application considerably.
How do I apply for Accounting Manager jobs at Aprio?
You can browse open Accounting Manager positions at Aprio through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa sponsorship is part of the employer's hiring pattern. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific service line you're targeting, and address your work authorization status directly in your application or cover letter so there's no ambiguity during screening.
How do I plan my timeline if Aprio sponsors my Green Card as an Accounting Manager?
The PERM labor certification process alone typically takes 12 to 18 months from the time your employer begins recruitment. After PERM approval, USCIS must approve your I-140 immigrant petition, and your priority date must be current before you can file for adjustment of status. If you're from a country with high demand like India, visa backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend the overall timeline significantly.
