Target roles that align with Green Card pathways
Aprio's sponsorship history skews toward permanent residency rather than temporary work visas. Focus your application on mid-to-senior accounting and advisory roles, where employers are more likely to invest in long-term sponsorship like EB-2 or EB-3.
Highlight credentials that support EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility
Aprio sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. If you hold a CPA, advanced degree, or specialized accounting credentials, lead with those in your application, they directly support the classification Aprio is most likely to pursue.
Position yourself for the PERM labor certification process
Green Card sponsorship at accounting firms typically involves PERM, which requires demonstrating no qualified U.S. worker is available. Be prepared for a multi-year timeline and document your specialized skills clearly from the first interview.
Focus on advisory and tax service lines
Accounting and advisory firms like Aprio tend to sponsor international talent in specialized practice areas, particularly tax and consulting. Research Aprio's service lines and tailor your resume to reflect depth in the areas they're actively growing.
Apply through a platform that filters by verified sponsorship history
Not every accounting firm that mentions sponsorship actually follows through. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your energy on employers like Aprio with a documented track record.
Engage with Aprio's campus and graduate recruiting programs
Accounting firms frequently recruit directly from university programs. If you're on OPT or approaching visa transition, targeting Aprio through graduate-level hiring channels gives you the best chance of entering a sponsorship conversation early in the process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aprio sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Aprio's filings have been concentrated in the Green Card category rather than H-1B visa temporary work visas. Candidates targeting Aprio should focus on EB-2 and EB-3 permanent residency pathways. If H-1B sponsorship is a priority, confirm current policy directly with Aprio's recruiting team before applying.
What visa types does Aprio sponsor?
Aprio has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas, which are employment-based Green Card categories. EB-2 typically requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers professionals and skilled workers. Both pathways involve the PERM labor certification process, meaning sponsorship represents a significant, long-term employer commitment.
Which roles or departments at Aprio are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Aprio's sponsorship activity aligns with its core accounting and advisory services. Roles in tax, audit, and specialized consulting are the most likely candidates for Green Card sponsorship, particularly at the senior associate level and above, where deep technical expertise makes international candidates harder to replace with domestic hires.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Aprio?
Migrate Mate lets you browse open roles at verified sponsoring employers like Aprio, filtered by visa type and sponsorship history. This helps you avoid applying to firms that list sponsorship as a possibility without actually following through. Search for Aprio directly on Migrate Mate to see currently listed positions relevant to your background.
How do I approach the application process at Aprio as a visa sponsorship candidate?
Be upfront about your visa status early in the process. Aprio's Green Card sponsorship pathway involves PERM labor certification, which takes time and employer resources, so clarity helps both sides assess fit. Emphasize specialized skills in your target practice area, and be prepared to discuss your immigration timeline and any existing work authorization you hold.
