Align your credentials with CPA firm expectations
Aprio recruits consulting managers with demonstrated expertise in a defined service line, tax, audit, advisory, or a specialty niche. Before applying, make sure your resume reflects the technical depth and client-facing leadership that CPA firms evaluate at the manager level.
Research Aprio's active service line openings
Aprio posts Manager - Consulting roles across multiple practices simultaneously. Search by service line rather than job title alone to find the opening that best matches your background, since sponsorship eligibility often depends on the specific business unit filing the petition.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before the final interview
Aprio's HR team handles sponsorship decisions at the offer stage, not during early screening. Raise your visa needs professionally once you've cleared technical rounds, framing the conversation around EB-2 or EB-3 pathways relevant to professional services roles.
Prepare your PERM documentation timeline carefully
Employment-based Green Card sponsorship through PERM requires a formal recruitment process conducted by the employer before DOL filing. For a Manager - Consulting role, this typically starts after you've established tenure, so document your job duties and degree requirements precisely from day one.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for Aprio's sponsored openings
Identifying which specific Manager - Consulting postings at Aprio have an active sponsorship track record is easier when you filter by employer and visa type. Migrate Mate lets you search Aprio's open roles specifically by sponsorship history so you're applying where it counts.
Account for USCIS processing timelines in your start date
If you're changing status from another nonimmigrant visa, factor in H-1B or EB petition processing windows when negotiating your start date with Aprio. Premium processing is available for H-1B petitions and can reduce USCIS adjudication to around 15 business days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aprio sponsor H-1B visas for Manager - Consultings?
Aprio's primary employment-based sponsorship for Manager - Consulting roles has historically focused on EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways rather than H-1B visa. If you're already on a valid H-1B through a prior employer, a transfer to Aprio is possible, but confirm the firm's current sponsorship posture with their HR team during the offer stage.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manager - Consulting roles at Aprio?
Manager - Consulting positions at Aprio most commonly lead to EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship, which suits professionals with advanced degrees or substantial experience in accounting or advisory services. These pathways require PERM labor certification through DOL before USCIS adjudicates the I-140 immigrant petition.
What qualifications and experience does Aprio expect for Manager - Consulting roles?
Aprio typically expects Manager - Consulting candidates to have a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with several years of progressive experience in public accounting or professional services. CPA licensure or active candidacy is a strong differentiator, and demonstrated client management experience is standard at the manager level.
How do I apply for Manager - Consulting jobs at Aprio?
You can find and apply for Manager - Consulting openings at Aprio directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters Aprio's open roles by visa sponsorship history. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific service line and highlight relevant engagement leadership. Sponsorship discussions typically happen after an offer is extended.
How do I time the visa sponsorship process when joining Aprio as a Manager - Consulting?
EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-year process that generally begins after you've joined and demonstrated performance. The DOL PERM recruitment and filing phase alone can take six months to a year before USCIS even receives the I-140. Planning with that timeline in mind helps you avoid gaps in work authorization.
