Align your PMP credentials with KPMG requirements
KPMG's advisory and audit practices expect Project Development Managers to hold a PMP or equivalent credential alongside a relevant degree. Verify your credential is on your resume in a way that directly maps to the project lifecycle language KPMG uses in job postings.
Target advisory service lines over back-office roles
KPMG's Management Consulting and Deal Advisory service lines are the primary home for Project Development Manager roles that attract sponsorship. Applications routed through these practices have a stronger business case for specialty occupation classification under H-1B criteria.
Understand how KPMG structures its LCA filings
KPMG files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before your H-1B petition reaches USCIS. Confirm the prevailing wage tier attached to the Project Development Manager role at your assigned office location, since KPMG staffs regionally and wages vary by metro area.
Prepare for a PERM-aware career progression conversation
If Green Card sponsorship is your goal, ask during the offer stage whether KPMG's EB-2 or EB-3 PERM pipeline applies to this role. Project Development Managers at large accounting firms typically meet the professional worker threshold, but you need internal HR confirmation before you accept.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open KPMG roles by visa type
Roles vary by practice and location, and not all Project Development Manager postings carry the same sponsorship eligibility. Use Migrate Mate to filter KPMG listings by H-1B, E-3, or other visa types so you spend time only on positions that match your status.
Factor in the H-1B cap timeline when accepting an offer
KPMG's fiscal year runs October through September, and cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer outside that window, ask KPMG's immigration team whether a cap-exempt entity or a bridging arrangement is available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Project Development Managers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Project Development Managers, particularly in its advisory and consulting service lines where the specialty occupation standard is well established. The role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, which supports the specialty occupation classification USCIS requires. KPMG has a dedicated immigration support infrastructure that manages the petition process on your behalf once an offer is extended.
How do I apply for Project Development Manager jobs at KPMG?
Applications go through KPMG's careers portal at kpmg.com/careers, where you can filter by job title and location. Migrate Mate also aggregates open Project Development Manager postings at KPMG and lets you filter by visa sponsorship type, which is useful if you need H-1B or E-3 visa eligibility confirmed before applying. Tailor your application to the specific service line, since advisory, audit, and tax practices each have distinct expectations for this role.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Project Development Manager roles?
KPMG most commonly sponsors H-1B visas for Project Development Managers, which covers the broadest pool of international candidates. Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which runs on a separate annual allocation and bypasses the H-1B lottery. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, KPMG has historically supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process administered by the DOL.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for a Project Development Manager?
KPMG generally expects a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, finance, or a related field, along with demonstrated project management experience in professional services or a client-facing environment. A PMP certification or equivalent is common in job postings. Experience managing cross-functional teams on audit transformation, technology implementation, or advisory engagements is viewed favorably, as KPMG's Project Development Managers frequently work across multiple client accounts simultaneously.
How do I get a timeline for my visa sponsorship if I receive an offer from KPMG?
Once KPMG extends an offer, their in-house immigration team or an outside counsel firm they retain will walk you through the filing calendar. For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the USCIS registration window opens in March for an October 1 start date. If your status requires an earlier start, ask KPMG's HR team whether cap-exempt filing through a related entity or a change of status from OPT or another visa category is possible.
