Frame your implementation credentials around life sciences
Veeva recruits Project Development Managers with backgrounds in pharma, biotech, or medical device software delivery. Tailor your resume to highlight regulated-industry project experience, not just general SaaS implementations. Generic cloud delivery backgrounds get deprioritized here.
Confirm your degree supports specialty occupation classification
USCIS requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field for H-1B eligibility. Project management roles at software companies face scrutiny if your degree is unrelated. A computer science, engineering, or life sciences degree strengthens your petition considerably.
Target Veeva openings through Migrate Mate first
Veeva posts Project Development Manager roles across multiple regions and product lines at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter open positions by visa sponsorship type so you're only applying to roles that match your current authorization status.
Ask your recruiter about cap-exempt petition timing
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, your H-1B petition must be filed before your OPT expires. Veeva's HR team manages petitions internally, so ask early in the offer stage whether they're prepared to file ahead of the April 1 USCIS window.
Understand how TN status applies to your role
Canadian and Mexican nationals can enter on TN status for qualifying management roles, but the DOL requires the position to map to an enumerated TN occupation. Verify with Veeva's immigration team that your specific Project Development Manager duties satisfy that occupational definition before accepting an offer.
Document client-facing delivery work for the LCA process
Veeva files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Your prevailing wage determination depends on your work location and job duties. Keep records of the client sites you'll be deployed to, since off-site project delivery can affect the LCA worksite designation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Veeva Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Project Development Managers?
Yes, Veeva Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Project Development Managers. The company has an active immigration program and files petitions for qualifying roles across its delivery and implementation functions. If you're already on H-1B status with another employer, Veeva can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work once USCIS receives the petition without waiting for approval.
How do I apply for Project Development Manager jobs at Veeva Systems?
Apply directly through Veeva's careers portal or browse open roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. Project Development Manager positions at Veeva are posted by product line and region, so searching broadly increases your chances of finding an active opening. Tailor your application to emphasize life sciences software delivery experience, as that's the primary hiring filter for this function.
Which visa types does Veeva Systems commonly use for Project Development Manager roles?
Veeva sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas for most Project Development Manager hires requiring long-term authorization. F-1 OPT and CPT are supported for early-career candidates, and TN visa status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Veeva has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions for this function through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Veeva Systems expect for a sponsored Project Development Manager role?
Veeva typically expects candidates to hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, life sciences, or business, combined with hands-on experience delivering software projects in pharma or biotech environments. Familiarity with Veeva's product suite, particularly Vault or CRM, is a strong differentiator. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must align with the specialty occupation definition USCIS applies to this role category.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take if I receive an offer from Veeva Systems?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, Veeva must register you in the USCIS lottery that opens each March, with petitions filed April 1 at the earliest and employment starting October 1. If you're cap-exempt, such as transferring from another H-1B employer, Veeva can file immediately and USCIS standard processing takes three to five months. Premium processing is available to reduce that to roughly 15 business days.
