Align your portfolio to audit tech
KPMG's Product Engineers typically work on compliance platforms, data workflows, and risk tooling. Frame your portfolio around regulated-industry products, internal developer tooling, or enterprise SaaS to signal direct relevance before your resume reaches a hiring manager.
Target KPMG's Lighthouse and Ignite teams
KPMG clusters much of its product engineering work inside innovation-focused practices like KPMG Lighthouse. Applying directly to those teams, rather than generic technology postings, puts you in front of hiring managers who regularly work with internationally sponsored engineers.
Understand the LCA requirement before negotiating
Before KPMG can file your H-1B or E-3 petition, its team must certify a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. That certification locks in the prevailing wage for your location and role level, so understand that your offered salary cannot fall below that threshold.
Prepare for PERM if you want a Green Card
KPMG sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Product Engineers, but PERM recruitment requirements mean the process typically begins after your first year. Ask your recruiter whether your specific role and practice area follows that internal timeline before accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles efficiently
Searching for sponsoring employers manually is slow and unreliable. Use Migrate Mate to filter Product Engineer openings at KPMG by visa type, so you're only applying to roles where your specific sponsorship need is already confirmed.

Find Product Engineer at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Product Engineers. The firm has an established immigration process and works with in-house or external immigration counsel to handle filings. Because H-1B is subject to the annual cap and lottery, timing matters. KPMG typically initiates petitions in the first quarter of the calendar year for an October 1 start date, so coordinating your offer and start date around that cycle is important.
How do I apply for Product Engineer jobs at KPMG?
Apply through KPMG's careers portal or find verified openings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is available. Tailor your application to the practice area you're targeting, whether that's audit technology, risk platforms, or advisory tooling. KPMG's hiring process for Product Engineers typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessment, and panel interviews with product and engineering stakeholders.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Product Engineers?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most internationally hired Product Engineers and the E-3 visa for Australian citizens, which bypasses the lottery entirely. For longer-term permanent residence, KPMG supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process. The right visa category depends on your nationality, degree, and how far into your career you are when you join.
What qualifications does KPMG expect from sponsored Product Engineers?
KPMG generally looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field, as product engineering roles at professional services firms must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards. Beyond credentials, KPMG values experience building or maintaining enterprise-grade platforms, familiarity with regulated data environments, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams that include non-technical audit or advisory staff.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Product Engineer at KPMG?
For H-1B, the standard timeline runs from the April lottery to an October 1 start, so expect six months from petition filing to your first day. E-3 applicants move faster, often completing consular processing in four to eight weeks. Once you're on a work visa, Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically starts after your first year and can take two to four years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
