Align your portfolio to Intuit's platform products
Intuit hires Product Engineers to work across TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma. Tailor your portfolio to show full-stack or platform-level work, not just isolated features, since their engineering teams own end-to-end product surfaces.
Confirm your visa category before applying
Intuit sponsors several visa types, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Knowing which category applies to your nationality lets you ask informed questions during recruiter screens instead of waiting until offer stage to discover a mismatch.
Target roles that include infrastructure or developer tooling
Product Engineer openings at Intuit that touch internal platforms or developer infrastructure tend to have stronger specialty occupation framing for H-1B purposes, which matters when USCIS evaluates whether your role qualifies under DOL wage level criteria.
Flag OPT or CPT status early in recruiter conversations
If you're on F-1 OPT, tell the recruiter before the technical rounds. Intuit's onboarding timelines for technology roles can be tight, and hiring teams need lead time to coordinate E-Verify and confirm your start date aligns with your authorization window.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Product Engineer roles by visa type
Intuit posts Product Engineer positions across multiple teams and locations, and not every role is managed by the same hiring pipeline. Use Migrate Mate to surface and track the openings that align with your specific sponsorship situation.
Prepare for PERM timing if you're targeting permanent residence
Intuit has active EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship. PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 can be filed, so raise your long-term intentions with your hiring manager once you're inside the offer process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Product Engineer roles. The company has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for technology and engineering positions. Product Engineer roles typically satisfy the specialty occupation requirement given the degree-level technical work involved. If you're currently in the H-1B lottery pool or need a transfer, Intuit's recruiting team is familiar with both cap-subject and cap-exempt scenarios.
How do I apply for Product Engineer jobs at Intuit?
Apply directly through Intuit's careers site, or use Migrate Mate to browse current Product Engineer openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Intuit's interview process for this role typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessments covering system design and coding, and product-sense interviews. Flagging your visa status early in the recruiter screen keeps the process moving without surprises later.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly sponsor for Product Engineer roles?
Intuit sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Product Engineer positions. Australian nationals are often well-positioned given E-3 visa availability outside the H-1B lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals on TN visa status can qualify if the role maps to a covered TN occupation category. Intuit also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-term permanent residence pathways.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for Product Engineer roles?
Intuit looks for engineers who can move comfortably between product requirements and technical implementation. A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field is standard. Practical experience with large-scale systems, API design, and cross-functional product delivery is weighted heavily. For visa purposes, the degree-to-role alignment matters because USCIS evaluates whether the position meets the specialty occupation standard under H-1B criteria.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Product Engineer at Intuit?
Timeline depends on your visa type. E-3 and TN sponsorship can be resolved in weeks, since neither requires USCIS approval before you start. H-1B transfers for candidates already in status are faster than cap-subject petitions, which tie to the October 1 fiscal year start. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through DOL adds 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed with USCIS.
