Align your portfolio to Intuit's data stack
Intuit's analytics engineering roles consistently surface requirements around dbt, Snowflake, and Airflow. Before applying, update your portfolio projects and resume to reflect hands-on experience with these tools, not just general SQL or Python skills.
Target roles across all three product lines
Intuit hires analytics engineers under TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma business units, each with separate hiring pipelines. Applying across all three product lines increases your chances of finding a team whose sponsorship timeline aligns with your visa situation.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm with your recruiter whether the role qualifies for STEM OPT extension before signing. Analytics engineering roles at a fintech company like Intuit typically satisfy STEM criteria, but your offer letter job title needs to match your I-983 training plan.
Understand Intuit's H-1B lottery timing
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March, with an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer after the lottery closes, negotiate a start date that works within your current status, or ask whether Intuit will file a cap-exempt petition if you qualify.
Document your specialty occupation evidence early
USCIS scrutinizes analytics engineering roles heavily. Gather evidence now that your position requires a specific degree, such as a job description requiring a bachelor's in computer science, statistics, or a related field, not just any quantitative background.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Intuit posts Data Analytics Engineer openings across multiple business units and locations, which makes it hard to filter for sponsorship-eligible positions manually. Use Migrate Mate to browse current Intuit openings filtered by the visa types that match your situation.

Does Intuit sponsor H-1B visas for Data Analytics Engineers?
Yes, Intuit sponsors H-1B visas for Data Analytics Engineers. The company has an established immigration program and works with outside counsel to support filings across its product lines. If you're selected in the H-1B lottery, Intuit will typically file the petition before the October 1 start date. Confirm sponsorship willingness early in the recruiter conversation, before the offer stage.
How do I apply for Data Analytics Engineer jobs at Intuit?
Apply directly through Intuit's careers portal or browse open roles filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate. Intuit's Data Analytics Engineer roles are posted under multiple business units, including TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma, so searching by team or product can help you find the right fit faster. Tailor your resume to reflect the specific data stack listed in each job description.
Which visa types does Intuit commonly sponsor for Data Analytics Engineer roles?
Intuit sponsors a range of visa categories for Data Analytics Engineer positions, including the H-1B, E-3 (for Australian citizens), TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT, J-1, and employment-based Green Card categories such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your citizenship and current immigration status. Discuss your situation with the recruiter before your final interview round.
What qualifications does Intuit expect for a Data Analytics Engineer?
Intuit's Data Analytics Engineer postings consistently require a bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a closely related field, along with hands-on experience in SQL, dbt, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery. For USCIS specialty occupation purposes, having a degree that directly aligns with the role strengthens both your candidacy and any future H-1B petition. Advanced degrees can also improve eligibility for EB-2 sponsorship.
How do I plan my timeline if Intuit offers me a Data Analytics Engineer role while I'm on OPT?
If your OPT expires before October 1 and you're not selected in the H-1B lottery, a 60-day grace period begins when your OPT ends. Intuit may be able to file a cap-exempt H-1B if a qualifying institution is involved, but most candidates rely on STEM OPT extension, which gives up to 24 additional months. Confirm your STEM OPT eligibility with your DSO as soon as you receive the offer.
