We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.
We recently launched a new ad-supported tier to offer our members with more choice in how they consume their content. Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price point, while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach audiences that are deeply immersed.
Our Team:
The Ads Platform team builds the advertising systems and integrations that power the delivery of ads using our world class content delivery ecosystem. We deliver ads in a manner that’s thoughtful of our members’ viewing experience and drives great outcomes for advertisers.

As one of the newest entrants in the Connected TV advertising space that’s rapidly growing, we seek to build unique value propositions that differentiate Netflix from other ad-supported streaming services.
We are looking for a Product Manager in the advertising space who is excited to join us on this journey.
About the Role:
As part of the Ads Measurement & Reporting team, this PM will be responsible for building and evolving our reporting products that help advertisers and their agencies understand their campaign delivery on Netflix. This PM will:
- Partner with engineering teams to launch campaign reporting metrics to meet the needs of advertisers and agencies
- Translate users’ reporting needs into actionable technical requirements
- Prioritize the product roadmap, managing near-term product delivery while formulating a long-term product strategy to provide the most relevant and innovative reporting and measurement to Netflix’s advertisers
- Be an expert on the methodologies of our campaign delivery metrics, including viewability, audience reach and frequency, eCPMs, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in sales, solutions engineering, measurement analysts, ad operations, marketing, strategy, policy, and legal, as well as external auditors, to bring reporting products to market that meet MRC’s standards
- Drive the MRC accreditation process and roadmap; be the expert in MRC requirements and the technical changes required to secure accreditation for Netflix’s reporting metrics
We’re seeking a candidate who has:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience with a proven record of successfully launching and scaling platforms
- Experience launching and scaling advertising reporting products
- A thorough understanding of digital advertising reporting and measurement needs; knowledge of CTV publishers is a plus
- Experience working on MRC accreditations or past experience with audit processes
- Has experience collaborating closely with advertisers, agencies, measurement partners, ad tech partners, and publisher sales and measurement analyst teams
- Has experience collaborating with Engineering, Data Science, and other Product Teams

Frame your portfolio around product impact
Netflix Product Engineer interviews emphasize systems thinking and measurable outcomes, not just code output. Document projects where your engineering decisions directly shaped user behavior or business metrics, since interviewers will probe that product-engineering intersection specifically.
Verify your visa category before applying
Netflix sponsors multiple visa types, so confirm your current status is eligible before submitting. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, check your OPT end date and factor in USCIS processing timelines for any required status change before your start date.
Target teams with active infrastructure investment
Netflix's personalization, streaming infrastructure, and studio technology divisions consistently hire Product Engineers. Applying directly to these areas through Netflix's careers portal, rather than broadly, signals genuine alignment and increases recruiter engagement on roles where sponsorship is routine.
Initiate the LCA conversation early in the offer stage
Once you reach the offer stage, ask the recruiting coordinator which visa category the offer will be structured under. For H-1B transfers, your employer must file a new Labor Condition Application with DOL before your first day at Netflix.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Product Engineer roles
Search Migrate Mate to filter Netflix Product Engineer openings by visa type so you can prioritize roles that match your current sponsorship situation, whether that's H-1B transfer, OPT, or E-3.
Treat the technical screen as a sponsorship signal
Clearing Netflix's system design rounds is effectively the internal qualifier that unlocks the sponsorship process. Recruiters will not move forward on immigration paperwork until you've passed the technical evaluation, so your preparation there directly determines sponsorship timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers?
Yes, Netflix sponsors H-1B visas for Product Engineer roles. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, Netflix can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition rather than waiting for approval. If you need a new H-1B cap-subject filing, timing depends on the annual lottery cycle, which opens each March for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Product Engineer jobs at Netflix?
Apply directly through Netflix's careers portal or browse current openings filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate. Netflix's hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, a technical phone interview, and a multi-round system design and coding assessment. Prepare to discuss product decisions and their engineering trade-offs, not just implementation details, since Product Engineer roles require demonstrating both competencies.
Which visa types does Netflix commonly use for Product Engineer roles?
Netflix sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, L-1 visa, O-1 visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas, as well as immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. For most international Product Engineers, H-1B is the primary long-term option. Australian citizens can use the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable stays. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN visa status in computer-related occupations.
What qualifications does Netflix expect for Product Engineer roles?
Netflix Product Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation standard for H-1B purposes. Beyond credentials, Netflix's culture emphasizes independent judgment and high ownership, so candidates who can articulate how their engineering choices drove product outcomes consistently advance further in the process than those who focus purely on technical execution.
How do I time my application around visa processing deadlines?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorized work period before your target start date, since USCIS H-1B cap filings require lead time and an October 1 effective date. For H-1B transfers or E-3 applications, processing can take several weeks to a few months without premium processing. Communicating your visa situation to Netflix's recruiting team early in the process helps them plan paperwork timing around your actual start date constraints.
