FOCUS AREA: GLOBAL BRAND DESIGN
ROLE: PROGRAM MANAGER, DESIGN
About Netflix
At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Whatever their taste, and no matter where they live, we give our members access to best-in-class TV series, documentaries, feature films, and mobile games. We are the world’s biggest fans of entertainment, and we’re always looking to give members the thrill of the next great story.
About The Role
We are seeking a Manager, Program Management - Design to join the team responsible for program and operational management for the Brand Creative Studio’s Global Brand Design team.
The primary focus of this role is to build, run, and continuously improve the systems that allow core design programs to move from strategy to execution across a complex set of stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables. This includes annual campaign priorities, large global programs, and reactive design initiatives delivered by a multidisciplinary team of designers.
This role is responsible for the operational integrity of core design programs. You will bring structure to ambiguity, drive clarity on scope and sequencing, create reliable planning and tracking mechanisms, and ensure that the right work is being prioritized, staffed, reviewed, and delivered.
You will partner closely with design leadership, brand management, creative studio production, and cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, product design, comms, events, and other business verticals. You will also help establish the working rhythms, engagement models, and collaboration standards that enable designers to focus on craft while still delivering at Netflix speed.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management
Build and run core design program pipelines
- Own the end-to-end operational pipeline for core design programs, spanning annual planning through tactical delivery and rollout.
- Drive clear intake, scoping, prioritization, and sequencing of work across multiple concurrent programs.
- Ensure programs have strong foundations: defined objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and decision-making structures.
- Lead problem-solving when work goes off-course, ensuring issues are addressed quickly without compromising quality.
Create operational clarity across complexity
- Translate business priorities into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans for core design teams.
- Establish program rhythms and stakeholder cadences that create momentum and reduce ambiguity.
- Maintain consistent visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs across the portfolio.
- Build integrated project plans that include milestones, dependencies, review cycles, and launch readiness requirements.
- Drive alignment on scope, sequencing, and delivery expectations across internal teams and external partners.
Enable high-quality delivery at scale
- Protect design bandwidth by ensuring work is appropriately scoped and resourced before it enters execution.
- Partner with design leadership and resource management to align resourcing to priorities, identify gaps, and propose solutions.
- Ensure programs are set up to scale across markets, formats, and teams, without creating unnecessary operational burden.
- Anticipate bottlenecks and delivery risks early, and proactively propose solutions and tradeoffs.
Tracking + Reporting
- Maintain program tracking across multiple workstreams, ensuring teams have clarity on owners, deadlines, and next steps.
- Create leadership-ready reporting that communicates progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly and consistently.
- Ensure that stakeholders understand what is happening, what is blocked, and what decisions are needed.
Delivery Planning + Implementation
Execution readiness + rollout coordination
- Partner closely with cross-functional operational teams to support smooth and coordinated execution across channels.
- Ensure design deliverables are integrated into broader go-to-market plans and rollout timelines.
- Coordinate review cycles, approvals, and handoffs across internal, external, and agency partners.
Asset delivery + cross-functional enablement
- Track delivery of required assets across formats, ensuring they are reviewed, approved, and delivered on time.
- Ensure downstream teams have what they need to execute (guidelines, toolkits, templates, specs, and delivery packages).
- Act as a key liaison between design and partner teams to ensure expectations, timelines, and requirements remain aligned.
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration by improving clarity, handoffs, and program rhythms.
What We Are Looking For
- 7-10+ years of experience managing complex programs in fast-paced consumer, entertainment, design-focused, or technology environments. Global experience is a bonus.
- Proven ability to run end-to-end program management for creative and design teams, including planning, prioritization, tracking, and delivery.
- Strong operational judgment and the ability to create clarity in ambiguity.
- Deep familiarity with how design work is developed, reviewed, and delivered across multi-format ecosystems (digital, social, print/OOH, presentations, toolkits, and event-related assets).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive alignment across cross-functional teams, including internal and external partners.
- Experience working with program management tools and collaborative workflows, and the ability to implement scalable systems.
- A proactive, humble, and highly accountable working style with a strong bias to action.
- Operational/program management experience within a design studio or agency environment is a plus.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess high intellectual curiosity, and demonstrate strong judgment in the face of ambiguity.
You understand, advocate for, and embody Netflix’s values and team goals.

Target Netflix's core engineering and data teams
Netflix's sponsorship activity is concentrated in software engineering, data science, and platform infrastructure. If your background is in these areas, you're applying into the roles where Netflix has the clearest track record of sponsoring international talent.
Understand that Netflix sponsors multiple visa types
Netflix sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and Green Card pathways, among others. Knowing which category fits your nationality and background before you apply lets you have a more informed conversation with their recruiting team from the start.
Apply directly through Netflix's careers page
Netflix does not heavily rely on third-party recruiting agencies for senior technical roles. The careers portal is where most sponsored positions are listed, and applying directly signals genuine interest in the company rather than a scattershot job search.
Australians should flag E-3 eligibility early
Netflix has sponsored E-3 visas, which are exclusively available to Australian citizens. If you're Australian, mentioning E-3 eligibility upfront can remove a common employer hesitation, since it's a simpler process than H-1B for both sides.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm open sponsored roles
Netflix's sponsorship history covers a wide range of roles, but not every open position will lead to a visa offer. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus only on roles where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Prepare for Netflix's culture fit emphasis
Netflix's hiring process is well known for its focus on culture alignment alongside technical skills. International candidates should be ready to articulate how they work autonomously, handle feedback, and operate in a high-performance environment, not just demonstrate technical ability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Netflix sponsors H-1B visas and is an active participant in the H-1B program. Sponsorship is most consistent in technical disciplines such as software engineering, data science, and machine learning. Because Netflix receives a high volume of applicants, roles that align tightly with their core product and infrastructure teams are where sponsorship is most likely.
Which visa types does Netflix sponsor?
Netflix sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, J-1 visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and immigrant visa categories including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. The range of visa types reflects a genuine commitment to hiring internationally across multiple nationalities. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which is a notably straightforward path compared to H-1B.
Which departments or roles at Netflix are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Netflix is most concentrated in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning, product management, and platform reliability. Content and business roles exist but tend to have stronger competition from the domestic talent pool. Candidates with specialized technical skills, particularly in distributed systems, personalization, or streaming infrastructure, are in the strongest position to receive an offer that includes sponsorship.
What does the visa sponsorship process at Netflix typically look like?
Once Netflix extends an offer, their internal immigration team or an outside counsel firm manages the visa filing. For H-1B, this means securing a registration in the annual lottery in March, with employment starting October 1 if selected. For E-3 and TN, the timeline is faster since there is no lottery. Expect the process from offer to visa approval to take several weeks to several months depending on visa type.
How do I find Netflix jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Netflix posts sponsored roles on its careers site, but it is not always obvious from the listing whether sponsorship is on the table for a specific position. Migrate Mate aggregates verified sponsorship data so you can search Netflix openings filtered by visa type and confirm sponsorship history before investing time in an application. Starting your search with verified data avoids wasted effort on roles where sponsorship is unlikely.
