At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.
About the Role
Netflix's Creative Innovation team works at the intersection of storytelling and emerging technology, shaping how solutions like Generative AI influence production practices across the Studio and the broader industry. This role sits at the center of that work.
You will own relationships with Generative AI technology and vendor partners that support Netflix productions, understanding what they can deliver, where they're headed, and how they create value for our work. You'll manage those relationships end to end, from initial engagement through renewals and ongoing support, and bring enough technical fluency to evaluate what a partner's tools can actually do, turning that into guidance production teams can use with confidence. You'll also help promising, earlier-stage companies mature into partners Netflix can rely on, and work closely with Legal and Security to make sure every partnership is one we can stand behind.
This is a role for someone with sharp judgment about where a partner adds value, who brings the same rigor to managing a relationship as to evaluating a technology, and who takes ownership of outcomes as a matter of course. The pace of change in this market means the partnerships built now will shape what's possible for productions later.
Key Responsibilities
- Own partner relationships end to end. Manage day-to-day communication, renewals, step-ups, and escalations for the partners you manage.
- Evaluate what partners can deliver. Understand their tools and workflows well enough to assess capability versus marketing, and translate that into recommendations Netflix teams can act on with confidence.
- Help partner tools work in practice. Partner with production and technical stakeholders to make sure tools fit smoothly into existing workflows, and stay close enough to troubleshoot issues as they come up.
- Keep Netflix ahead of where the market is going. Turn what you learn from partner conversations and evaluations into concise, high-signal intelligence on quality, cost, speed, and emerging risk.
- Develop the next generation of partners. Identify emerging and research-stage players worth watching, build the relationship early, and help promising vendors mature toward full partnership readiness.
- Shape how Netflix engages this market responsibly. Partner with Legal and Security to build and maintain secure, repeatable engagement pathways, and help develop how Netflix evaluates and tracks partner capability and readiness over time.
- Match the right partner to the right need. Work continuously with production and creative teams to understand what they're trying to do, and connect them to partners based on workflow fit, ambition, and risk tolerance.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of direct experience in partnerships, account or vendor management, or business development, with ownership of relationships from end to end.
- Experience in the generative AI industry, or scaling GenAI offerings within a large organization.
- Working fluency in technology and workflow solutioning: comfortable evaluating a tool and translating capability into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
- A clear point of view on where emerging technology adds value in a creative or production context.
- Demonstrated ability to drive alignment across Legal, Security, and production stakeholders.
- High integrity and discretion with sensitive partner and internal information.
- Bias for action and a genuine intolerance for things falling through the cracks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the GenAI landscape (image, video, voice, services) and how productions evaluate and adopt these tools.
- Experience with VFX, post-production, or production operations workflows.
- Exposure to technical integration or workflow implementation work.
- Familiarity with vendor or technology partner evaluation frameworks.
- Experience working across international teams or regional partner landscapes.
The Creative Innovation ecosystem is moving fast and Netflix is in a position to shape how it develops, not just consume it. If you're energized by building the infrastructure that helps world-class creators engage that ecosystem with confidence, and you have the judgment, rigor, and collaborative instincts to do it well, we'd love to talk.

Build a portfolio around streaming-native formats
Netflix evaluates Creative candidates on work built for episodic, interactive, or short-form content. Tailor your portfolio to show output in those formats specifically, not just broadcast or print work, before you apply.
Confirm your visa category fits the role
Netflix sponsors multiple visa types including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Your eligibility depends on nationality and role classification, so verify which category your Creative position qualifies under before accepting an offer or signing anything.
Target roles tied to Netflix's content studios
Creative positions attached to Netflix's in-house production arms, like its animation and documentary studios, are more likely to involve direct sponsorship than contractor or vendor roles. Filter your search to full-time positions within those divisions.
Prepare degree equivalency documentation early
Specialty occupation requires a directly related degree. If your Creative credentials come from a non-U.S. institution or a portfolio-based program, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved service before Netflix initiates the USCIS petition.
Account for the H-1B cap timeline in your offer negotiation
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, registration opens in March with an October 1 start date. Negotiate your offer start date around that window so Netflix's legal team can file on time without rushing the Labor Condition Application with DOL.
Search Creative openings at Netflix on Migrate Mate
Filtering for visa-sponsoring employers in the entertainment and media space takes time if you're doing it manually. Use Migrate Mate to surface Netflix Creative roles verified for sponsorship and track new postings as they open.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix sponsor H-1B visas for Creatives?
Yes, Netflix sponsors H-1B visas for Creative roles. The process involves Netflix filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, followed by an I-129 petition with USCIS. If you need a cap-subject H-1B, your petition must be selected in the annual lottery, which runs in March. Cap-exempt pathways may apply if you've been previously counted.
How do I apply for Creative jobs at Netflix?
Applications go through Netflix's careers portal at jobs.netflix.com. Creative roles typically require a portfolio submission alongside your resume. Tailor your application to the specific team, such as animation, brand design, or content marketing, since Netflix's Creative function spans multiple internal studios with distinct hiring criteria. You can also browse open roles filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate.
Which visa types does Netflix commonly use for Creative roles?
Netflix sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Creative positions. E-3 visa is available to Australian citizens and TN visa to Canadian and Mexican nationals. F-1 OPT and CPT cover recent graduates in their post-study work authorization period. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and role classification.
What qualifications does Netflix expect for Creative roles?
Netflix generally looks for a bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the role, such as graphic design, animation, film production, or a related discipline, plus a strong portfolio demonstrating work at professional scale. For H-1B qualification, the degree must align specifically with the job duties. Years of industry experience in streaming, entertainment, or digital content environments carry significant weight in the evaluation.
How do I plan my timeline for a Creative role at Netflix that requires visa sponsorship?
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, build your job search around a February or March offer target so Netflix can submit your registration during the USCIS lottery window. For E-3 and TN, processing is faster and not lottery-dependent, which allows more flexible start dates. F-1 OPT candidates should confirm their OPT authorization period covers the intended start date before signing an offer letter.
