We are looking for a Product Manager in the advertising space who is excited to join us on this journey.
About the Role:
As part of the Ads Measurement & Reporting team, this PM will be responsible for building and evolving our reporting products that help advertisers and their agencies understand their campaign delivery on Netflix. This PM will:
- Partner with engineering teams to launch campaign reporting metrics to meet the needs of advertisers and agencies
- Translate users’ reporting needs into actionable technical requirements
- Prioritize the product roadmap, managing near-term product delivery while formulating a long-term product strategy to provide the most relevant and innovative reporting and measurement to Netflix’s advertisers
- Be an expert on the methodologies of our campaign delivery metrics, including viewability, audience reach and frequency, eCPMs, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in sales, solutions engineering, measurement analysts, ad operations, marketing, strategy, policy, and legal, as well as external auditors, to bring reporting products to market that meet MRC’s standards
- Drive the MRC accreditation process and roadmap; be the expert in MRC requirements and the technical changes required to secure accreditation for Netflix’s reporting metrics
We’re seeking a candidate who has:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience with a proven record of successfully launching and scaling platforms
- Experience launching and scaling advertising reporting products
- A thorough understanding of digital advertising reporting and measurement needs; knowledge of CTV publishers is a plus
- Experience working on MRC accreditations or past experience with audit processes
- Has experience collaborating closely with advertisers, agencies, measurement partners, ad tech partners, and publisher sales and measurement analyst teams
- Has experience collaborating with Engineering, Data Science, and other Product Teams

Frame your portfolio around measurable product outcomes
Netflix evaluates Product Owners on impact, not process. Before applying, reframe your portfolio to lead with metrics: engagement lifts, churn reductions, or feature adoption rates. Visa-sponsored hires need to clear a high bar on demonstrated ownership.
Identify your visa type before outreach
Netflix sponsors several visa categories, and which one applies to you shapes your timeline and eligibility. Confirm whether you qualify for H-1B, E-3, TN, or OPT before your first recruiter screen so you can answer sponsorship questions confidently.
Target Netflix roles aligned to your degree field
H-1B specialty occupation approval requires a direct connection between your degree and the Product Owner role. Degrees in computer science, information systems, or business analytics map most cleanly. A misaligned degree can trigger USCIS scrutiny even with strong experience.
Negotiate role start dates around LCA and I-129 timelines
After an offer, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process the I-129 petition. Budget at least six to eight weeks for this sequence. Aligning your start date to that window prevents last-minute status gaps.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Product Owner roles by sponsorship type
Not every Netflix job listing signals visa sponsorship eligibility. Use Migrate Mate to browse Product Owner openings at Netflix filtered by the visa categories relevant to your situation, so you apply to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Address nonimmigrant intent early for E-3 or TN renewals
Netflix Product Owners on E-3 or TN status renew in two-year cycles. USCIS and consular officers assess nonimmigrant intent at each renewal. Keeping your role scope and employment documentation current reduces friction when your employer files for renewal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix sponsor H-1B visas for Product Owners?
Yes, Netflix sponsors H-1B visas for Product Owner roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given its requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business. Your employer handles the USCIS petition, but H-1B availability is subject to the annual cap and lottery for new applicants.
How do I apply for Product Owner jobs at Netflix?
Applications go through Netflix's careers site, where Product Owner listings include role-specific requirements. Tailoring your application to show measurable product impact, familiarity with streaming or consumer technology, and cross-functional leadership experience strengthens your candidacy. You can also browse open Product Owner positions at Netflix filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate before applying directly.
Which visa types does Netflix commonly sponsor for Product Owner roles?
Netflix sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas for Product Owner positions, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. Australian citizens often use the E-3 visa pathway, which has no lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles may be eligible for TN visa status. Your best-fit category depends on your citizenship, degree, and career stage.
What qualifications does Netflix look for in sponsored Product Owner hires?
Netflix's product culture prioritizes independent judgment, data literacy, and clear written communication. For Product Owner roles, expect them to look for experience defining roadmaps in a consumer-facing or streaming context, comfort working without heavy process structures, and the ability to influence engineering and design teams without direct authority. A degree in a technical or analytical field supports the specialty occupation determination required for most work visa categories.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after a Netflix offer?
Timeline depends on your visa category. For H-1B, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL first, then an I-129 petition with USCIS, a process that can take several months without premium processing. E-3 and TN applicants can often complete consular processing faster, sometimes within a few weeks of receiving a certified LCA. Build buffer into your start date negotiation to account for government processing times.
