The people here at Apple don't just craft products - they build the kind of wonder that's revolutionized entire industries. It's the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do, from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts.
DESCRIPTION
The People Technology team is looking for a Learning Platform Product Manager to own the Apple learning platform end-to-end - from the content creation environment, through delivery and backend administration tools, all the way to the learner and manager experience.
This role manages the full product: the authoring platform (LCAP), the learning management system (LMS / IMC), the audience services (ARMOR), and the learner-facing experience (Learner UI). The ideal candidate combines strong product judgment with technical fluency - able to translate the needs of business partners and content providers into a clear, prioritized roadmap, and to partner closely with engineering, program management, and UX to deliver it.
This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role at the center of how Apple's people learn and grow. You will be the connective tissue between the learning business teams and the technology teams that build the platform - and the single product voice ensuring the experience is coherent from authoring to delivering for the learner.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary product liaison and manage stakeholder relationships with partners and the community of 150+ content providers - translating business needs to requirements, and aligning competing priorities into a single coherent roadmap
- Own end-to-end requirements and authoring of acceptance criteria for LCAP, LMS, Armor, and the Learner UI - partnering closely with UX on design handoff and capturing business value, complexity, and technical feasibility
- Partner on the platform's AI roadmap - GenAI content authoring, skills and proficiency tagging, and AI-assisted translation - bringing emerging capabilities into the authoring and delivery experience
- Coordinate release planning, UAT, and platform delivery with engineering and stakeholders, supporting migrations and releases as part of requirements delivery
- Represent the platform in cross-functional 1:1s, track-lead forums, and program syncs, keeping stakeholders aligned on scope, timing, and trade-offs
- Deliver leadership updates and quarterly readouts - communicating platform health, roadmap, and outcomes to senior stakeholders
- Own provider communications and announcements - release notes, platform news, documentation, and change management - across the provider community
- Drive daily and weekly platform syncs surface risks early, and drive production-issue triage and resolution to protect the learner experience
- Support annual budget and vendor-estimate cycles for the platform
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years in product management or technical product ownership in content/learning systems
- Strong stakeholder management across many partners with competing priorities, proven ability to champion a collaborative one-Apple mindset and align priorities into a coherent roadmap
- Proven ability to author clear requirements and acceptance criteria and drive them through design, development, UAT, and release
- Experience owning a product end-to-end across multiple components (e.g., content/CMS, delivery/LMS, and a user-facing UI)
- Effective communicator, able to translate technical detail into business context and present to and drive decisions with senior leadership
- Experience partnering closely with engineering, QE, EPM, and UX teams to deliver production-ready solutions
- Familiarity with release management, UAT coordination, and issue-tracking / backlog tooling (e.g., Radar or equivalent)
- Comfort operating in complex, fast-moving environments with many concurrent workstreams
- Systems-thinking mindset, connecting content, delivery, data, and learner experience across the full platform
- Detail-oriented, with strong documentation discipline and appreciation for operational and governance expectations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with learning platforms, LMS/CMS, or content authoring systems
- Familiarity with localization and translation workflows at scale
- Exposure to AI-assisted content generation, skills taxonomies, or agentic workflows
- Experience in large, global enterprise environments - and in technology or retail environments that care deeply about user experience and intuitive design
- Background in L&D, learning technology, or instructional design tooling

Align your portfolio to Apple's product ecosystem
Apple Product Owner roles require demonstrated ownership of end-to-end product cycles, not just feature backlogs. Tailor your portfolio to show decisions you drove across hardware-software integration, supply chain constraints, or consumer-facing roadmaps before applying.
Confirm E-3 or TN eligibility early
If you're Australian or Canadian, Apple regularly sponsors E-3 and TN visas, which bypass the H-1B lottery entirely. Verifying your eligibility before submitting applications lets you signal your visa pathway directly in recruiter conversations.
Target Apple teams with open LCA filings
Apple files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before sponsoring any nonimmigrant work visa. Searching DOL's public disclosure data by employer and job title helps you identify which Apple divisions are actively hiring sponsored Product Owners right now.
Prepare for Apple's structured interview process
Apple's Product Owner interviews typically include a take-home case study assessing cross-functional decision-making. Preparing documentation of your degree field alongside your portfolio helps immigration counsel move quickly once an offer is extended.
Request premium processing if your start date is fixed
H-1B cap-subject petitions filed for Apple can take months under standard processing. If your OPT or current status has a hard expiration, ask your Apple recruiter whether the team will file under USCIS premium processing to hit your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Product Owner roles at Apple

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Product Owners?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Product Owner roles. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, Apple typically initiates the petition process well in advance of the cap registration window each March. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or another H-1B are often prioritized since they don't face the same cap uncertainty.
How do I apply for Product Owner jobs at Apple?
Applications go through Apple's careers portal at jobs.apple.com. Product Owner roles at Apple are organized by division, such as hardware engineering, services, or retail technology, so searching by team alongside job title improves your targeting. Migrate Mate also aggregates Apple's sponsored openings so you can filter directly for roles that match your visa type before applying.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for Product Owner roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, and TN visas for Product Owners at the nonimmigrant stage, covering candidates from most major countries. For permanent residence, Apple files PERM-backed EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant petitions for this function. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported, making Apple a viable employer for recent graduates still on their student authorization.
What qualifications does Apple expect for sponsored Product Owner positions?
Apple's Product Owner roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B and E-3 eligibility. Beyond credentials, Apple looks for candidates with demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in hardware or software product environments, often with five or more years in a product management or ownership capacity.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline after receiving an Apple offer?
After an offer is extended, Apple's immigration team coordinates with outside counsel to file the relevant petition. For H-1B cap-subject cases, the timeline is tied to USCIS's April 1 filing window and an October 1 start date, so offers made mid-year often carry a delayed start. E-3 and TN petitions move faster, with consular processing typically concludable within four to eight weeks of a certified Labor Condition Application.
