INTRODUCTION
Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, great ideas become groundbreaking products, services, and experiences - and we move fast.
We are seeking a seasoned senior Solutions Architect who brings an enterprise architecture mindset, a strong command of SAP's technology landscape, and a proven track record of leading transformative, global-scale supply chain initiatives.
The people here at Apple don't just build products - they create the kind of innovation that reshapes entire industries. The diversity of our teams and the breadth of their thinking fuels breakthroughs across everything we do, from supply chain intelligence to industry-leading sustainability. Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it.
Are you a senior architect and recognized thought leader with deep supply chain expertise, executive presence, and a demonstrated ability to drive enterprise-wide transformation? As part of our Worldwide Operations Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) group, you will set the architectural direction for initiatives that harness SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and the emerging frontier of agentic AI to modernize Apple's global operations. Here, you will have the freedom to challenge convention, shape long-range technology strategy, and leave a lasting mark on how Apple operates at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong, hands-on enterprise architecture leadership with a deep understanding of Quote-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay business processes end-to-end - paired with strong, current experience in the latest SAP capabilities: SAP BTP, BDC, SAP AI (Joule), Integration Suite, and RPA. Beyond technical breadth, they bring the intellectual curiosity and drive to actively explore, prototype, and deploy agentic AI solutions that fundamentally redefine how enterprise processes operate - and the confidence to own those outcomes from first principles to production.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a senior Solutions Architect, you will drive architecture for complex, cross-functional supply chain initiatives - taking full ownership from concept through delivery. This is a deeply hands-on role: you will roll up your sleeves to lead implementation, pick up the most complex projects from inception to go-live, and be accountable for the results. You set the architectural direction, guide the team through every phase of delivery, and own the outcomes. This role demands creating a strategic vision and ground-level technical execution: the ability to shape long-range architecture roadmaps while staying close enough to the work to resolve the hardest problems and hold the bar on quality. You will be a trusted thought leader, a bridge between business strategy and technology execution, and a champion for innovation - including the rapidly evolving space of agentic AI and autonomous process automation.
Enterprise Architecture Leadership:
- Serve as the senior lead architect for cross-functional business and IT initiatives - defining end-to-end solution architecture across SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP at enterprise scale, with an uncompromising focus on scalability, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
S/4HANA Transformation:
- Drive enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA transformation across Quote-to-Cash, Order Management, Procurement-to-Pay, Inventory & Materials Management, and Logistics Execution - ensuring architectural decisions are anchored in business outcomes and future-state readiness.
SAP BTP Innovation:
- Architect innovative supply chain solutions leveraging the full SAP BTP capability set - including SAP Build, Integration Suite, RPA, AI/ML (SAP Joule), BDC, and Event Mesh - designing for composability, extensibility, and organizational scalability.
Agentic AI - Explore, Ideate & Build:
- Lead the exploration, ideation, and proof-of-concept development of agentic AI solutions with the SAP and other ecosystem. Design autonomous, multi-step AI agent workflows that reduce non-value-added human touch-points, surface intelligent recommendations, and enable self-correcting supply chain processes. Evaluate emerging agentic frameworks, MCP-based tool integrations, and LLM-orchestration patterns for enterprise applicability and scaled deployment.
Team Collaboration & Architectural Mentorship:
- Foster a high-performance architecture culture by collaborating with and mentoring other solution designers. Act as an architectural anchor across globally distributed, cross-functional teams - ensuring alignment, shared ownership, and consistent delivery standards that elevate the entire team's capability.
Integration Architecture:
- Lead the design of complex integration scenarios across SAP and non-SAP systems - applying API-first, micro-services, and event-driven architectural principles to build robust, loosely coupled, and auditable integrations.
Governance & Best Practices:
- Define and institutionalize enterprise architecture governance models, reusable solution frameworks, and design standards that reduce delivery risk, accelerate team velocity, and ensure solution quality at scale.
Trusted Executive Advisor:
- Partner with senior business and IT leadership as a credible, authoritative advisor - translating complex technology capabilities into clear strategic recommendations, influencing roadmap decisions, and building executive-level alignment on architectural direction.
Change Management & Adoption:
- Champion organizational change in partnership with senior leadership - building executive alignment, communicating architectural rationale with clarity, and driving adoption of SAP-led transformations across global, multi-cultural stakeholder groups.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- SAP BTP certifications and SAP Functional/Technical certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build, SAP AI Core)
- Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent delivery excellence certification
- Experience in Big 4 Consulting or equivalent enterprise architecture advisory roles - with a track record of shaping client technology strategy at the executive level
- Demonstrated thought leadership in agentic AI and intelligent automation - including conference presentations, published frameworks, internal communities of practice, or contribution to open-source agentic tooling
- Advanced experience in SAP AI/ML and agentic AI use cases for supply chain optimization, demand sensing, autonomous order management, or logistics intelligence
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Proven tenure as a senior Solutions Architect with a deep enterprise architecture mindset - commanding both the strategic altitude to set direction and the technical depth to validate and guide implementation decisions across SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
Demonstrated success leading large-scale, enterprise-wide transformations - delivering solutions that are scalable, stable, resilient, and consistently grounded in measurable business and customer outcomes.
Deep expertise in business process re-engineering, including complex platform migrations and process redesign across global supply chain domains, with a strong command of translating business strategy into architectural requirements.
Hands-on experience with SAP BTP technologies - including SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP AI Core, and SAP Joule - with the ability to architect full-stack BTP solutions from design through production.
Proven experience designing and integrating solutions across core SAP functional areas: Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management, Procurement, and Logistics Execution.
Demonstrated experience exploring, ideating, and building agentic AI solutions in an enterprise context - including multi-agent orchestration, LLM-integrated automation pipelines, tool-use APIs, and MCP-based workflow frameworks. Ability to assess emerging agentic platforms (such as SAP AI Core agents, AutoGen, LangGraph, or equivalent) and articulate adoption strategies aligned with enterprise SAP architecture principles.
Strong command of API-first design, micro-services architecture, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native development - applied at scale in complex, multi-system enterprise environments.
Proven ability to lead architectural discussions at senior and executive levels - driving consensus, influencing without authority, and aligning diverse, globally distributed stakeholder groups around a shared technical vision.
Exceptional ability to distill complex architectural concepts into clear, compelling narratives for business leadership - adapting depth and framing to the audience without sacrificing accuracy or strategic clarity.
Demonstrated experience leading and collaborating with globally distributed, cross-functional teams on enterprise-scale SAP initiatives - building trust, managing ambiguity, and sustaining alignment across time zones and organizational boundaries.

Align your credentials to Apple's ecosystem
Apple's Solutions Architect roles emphasize hands-on experience with Apple Business Manager, MDM platforms, and enterprise Apple device deployment. Certifications in Apple Deployment or macOS server environments strengthen your profile before you apply.
Target Apple's enterprise and education verticals
Apple posts Solutions Architect roles primarily under its enterprise sales and education divisions. Filtering your search to these business units surfaces openings most likely to involve client-facing technical architecture work and active sponsorship pathways.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles efficiently
Apple's Solutions Architect positions move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to browse current openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing from the job description.
Understand which visa fits your situation
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, H-1B1 visa, TN, and OPT for Solutions Architects. If you're Australian, the E-3 avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your end date aligns with Apple's typical 60-plus-day onboarding timeline before accepting an offer.
Prepare your Labor Condition Application documentation early
Apple's legal team files the LCA with DOL before submitting your H-1B or E-3 petition. Having your role description, degree transcripts, and prior visa history organized in advance prevents delays once Apple initiates the process.
Address specialty occupation evidence proactively
USCIS scrutinizes Solutions Architect petitions because the title spans a wide range of duties. Work with Apple's immigration counsel to document that your specific role requires a directly related bachelor's degree, not just any technical background.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Solutions Architects?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Solutions Architect roles. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as computer science, information systems, or electrical engineering. Apple's legal team handles the LCA filing with DOL and the subsequent H-1B petition with USCIS, but you'll need to clear the annual lottery unless you're cap-exempt through a prior H-1B.
How do I apply for Solutions Architect jobs at Apple?
Applications go through Apple's careers site, where Solutions Architect roles are typically listed under the enterprise sales or business development categories. Tailoring your resume to reflect Apple platform expertise, such as experience with Apple Business Essentials, MDM deployment, or Apple silicon integration, improves your chances of passing the initial screen. Migrate Mate also lists Apple's open Solutions Architect roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which saves time if you're targeting sponsored positions specifically.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for Solutions Architect roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, H-1B1 visa, TN visa, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Solutions Architects. Australian citizens typically pursue the E-3 visa, which bypasses the H-1B lottery and renews in two-year increments. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA. For candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or CPT, Apple can extend employment through those work authorizations before initiating an H-1B.
What qualifications does Apple expect for Solutions Architect candidates?
Apple's Solutions Architect postings consistently require experience architecting solutions around Apple's enterprise ecosystem, including MDM platforms like Jamf or Microsoft Intune for Apple devices, plus familiarity with Apple Business Manager and Apple Configurator. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is standard. Candidates with prior pre-sales or technical account management experience at hardware or software companies tend to advance further in Apple's interview process.
How do I manage timing if I'm on OPT and targeting Apple for sponsorship?
If you're on F-1 OPT, the H-1B cap filing window opens April 1 for an October 1 start date, and USCIS requires employer registration by mid-March. If your OPT expires before October 1, you'll need sufficient OPT time remaining or a STEM OPT extension to bridge the gap. Confirm your OPT end date and the 60-day grace period rules with Apple's immigration team before your offer is finalized to avoid an authorization gap.
