Align your credentials to Apple's ecosystem
Apple's Solutions Architect roles emphasize hands-on experience with Apple Business Manager, MDM platforms, and enterprise Apple device deployment. Certifications in Apple Deployment or macOS server environments strengthen your profile before you apply.
Target Apple's enterprise and education verticals
Apple posts Solutions Architect roles primarily under its enterprise sales and education divisions. Filtering your search to these business units surfaces openings most likely to involve client-facing technical architecture work and active sponsorship pathways.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles efficiently
Apple's Solutions Architect positions move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to browse current openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing from the job description.
Understand which visa fits your situation
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, H-1B1, TN, and OPT for Solutions Architects. If you're Australian, the E-3 avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your end date aligns with Apple's typical 60-plus-day onboarding timeline before accepting an offer.
Address specialty occupation evidence proactively
USCIS scrutinizes Solutions Architect petitions because the title spans a wide range of duties. Work with Apple's immigration counsel to document that your specific role requires a directly related bachelor's degree, not just any technical background.

Find Solutions Architect at Apple JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Solutions Architects?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Solutions Architect roles. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as computer science, information systems, or electrical engineering. Apple's legal team handles the LCA filing with DOL and the subsequent H-1B petition with USCIS, but you'll need to clear the annual lottery unless you're cap-exempt through a prior H-1B.
How do I apply for Solutions Architect jobs at Apple?
Applications go through Apple's careers site, where Solutions Architect roles are typically listed under the enterprise sales or business development categories. Tailoring your resume to reflect Apple platform expertise, such as experience with Apple Business Essentials, MDM deployment, or Apple silicon integration, improves your chances of passing the initial screen. Migrate Mate also lists Apple's open Solutions Architect roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which saves time if you're targeting sponsored positions specifically.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for Solutions Architect roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, H-1B1, TN, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Solutions Architects. Australian citizens typically pursue the E-3, which bypasses the H-1B lottery and renews in two-year increments. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the USMCA. For candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or CPT, Apple can extend employment through those work authorizations before initiating an H-1B.
What qualifications does Apple expect for Solutions Architect candidates?
Apple's Solutions Architect postings consistently require experience architecting solutions around Apple's enterprise ecosystem, including MDM platforms like Jamf or Microsoft Intune for Apple devices, plus familiarity with Apple Business Manager and Apple Configurator. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is standard. Candidates with prior pre-sales or technical account management experience at hardware or software companies tend to advance further in Apple's interview process.
How do I manage timing if I'm on OPT and targeting Apple for sponsorship?
If you're on F-1 OPT, the H-1B cap filing window opens April 1 for an October 1 start date, and USCIS requires employer registration by mid-March. If your OPT expires before October 1, you'll need sufficient OPT time remaining or a STEM OPT extension to bridge the gap. Confirm your OPT end date and the 60-day grace period rules with Apple's immigration team before your offer is finalized to avoid an authorization gap.
