INTRODUCTION
Apple's Worldwide Channel Strategy & Operations (WW CSO) develops and deploys global sales programs to deliver extraordinary customer experiences and drive channel sales - with deep expertise spanning digital, physical, and people enablement. Within CSO, the Agentic AI Development team builds intelligent, agent-powered experiences for Channel Sales. This is a startup environment within Apple, and the products we build have direct, measurable business impact across multiple GEOs worldwide.
We're investing in the platforms and infrastructure that let teams across our worldwide sales organization build, run, and scale AI agents. This is the foundation a fast-growing portfolio of agentic products is built on.
DESCRIPTION
We're looking for a senior product manager to own our agentic AI platform as a product - its vision, strategy, roadmap, and requirements. This is the infrastructure that lets teams build, deploy, and run AI agents at scale.
You'll define what gets built and why. You'll translate business needs into clear product requirements, prioritize relentlessly for how quickly a user reaches a working result, and partner closely with engineering to ship. You'll grow the ecosystem around the platform - the reusable components, integrations, and capabilities that make teams productive.
This role is a blend of technical and product thinking. You'll own the prioritization of the roadmap and capabilities - runtimes, APIs, integrations, and tool use - and translate fluidly between business need and engineering reality. You'll be the voice of every user, from the non-technical person who just wants to run an agent to the engineer who builds one from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Own the agentic AI platform as a product - vision, strategy, roadmap, and the product requirements engineering builds against
- Own the full experience of how agents are built, configured, deployed, and run on the platform
- Translate ambiguous business needs into well-scoped product requirements with clear success metrics
- Define the platform's core models - deployment, customization, and governance - so teams can self-serve safely
- Grow the ecosystem around the platform - reusable components, connectors, integrations, and capabilities that make teams productive
- Enable teams to build and deploy agents across multiple languages and regional contexts
- Partner closely with engineering to sequence and ship the roadmap
- Define and track the platform's success metrics - adoption, active usage, and how quickly a new user reaches their first working result
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of product management, including platform or developer-platform products shipped to production
- Track record owning a product from vision through requirements through launch
- Strong technical fluency - comfortable holding runtimes, APIs, integrations, and data models in your head, and translating between business needs and engineering implementation
- Excellent written communication - crisp product requirements, specs, and roadmaps that engineering can build from without rework
- Track record of shipping products with measurable impact
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Built an internal developer platform, infrastructure product, or ecosystem where others build on top of what you ship
- Familiarity with agentic AI and large language model (LLM) systems - agent authoring, tool use, orchestration, and evaluation
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar tool-use and integration frameworks
- Experience defining platform governance and customization models
- Experience with multi-tenant customization models (configuration overlays, forking, versioning)
- Experience shipping to global, multilingual, multi-region audiences
- Apple experience a plus - familiarity with how Apple's worldwide sales and regional teams operate
- Comfort with ambiguity and startup-like environments inside a large organization
- Background in retail, commerce, training/enablement, or enterprise operations domains

Align your portfolio to Apple's on-device AI
Apple prioritizes AI that runs locally on hardware, not in the cloud. Before applying, reframe your portfolio around edge inference, model compression, or CoreML-compatible work to signal direct relevance to their product engineering priorities.
Target roles posted under Apple Intelligence initiatives
Apple clusters AI Product Engineer openings around specific platform teams. Filter for roles mentioning Siri, Vision Pro, or on-device inference in job descriptions, as these teams have the clearest sponsorship history for AI-focused engineering functions.
Confirm your visa type before the offer stage
Apple sponsors multiple visa categories, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Knowing which category fits your nationality and background before you receive an offer prevents delays when Apple's immigration team initiates the DOL Labor Condition Application filing.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation early
USCIS scrutinizes AI Product Engineer petitions where the role blends product management and engineering. Gather degree transcripts, a detailed job duties letter, and evidence your role requires a specific technical degree field before your employer files the I-129.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open AI Product Engineer roles at Apple
Browse current AI Product Engineer openings at Apple filtered by visa sponsorship type using Migrate Mate, so you're applying to positions with an active sponsorship track record rather than roles where sponsorship availability is unclear.
Account for H-1B cap timing if you're on OPT
If you're in F-1 OPT status, Apple must file your H-1B petition by early April for an October 1 start. Work backward from that deadline to ensure your offer letter, LCA certification, and supporting documents are ready before USCIS opens the registration window in March.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for AI Product Engineers?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for AI Product Engineers. Apple engages with the annual H-1B cap lottery for new applicants and also files cap-exempt petitions for candidates transitioning from certain research or educational institutions. Given the role's technical requirements, Apple's immigration team typically supports the full petition process, including the DOL Labor Condition Application, once you have a formal offer.
How do I apply for AI Product Engineer jobs at Apple?
Apply directly through Apple's careers site and tailor your resume to highlight AI product development experience relevant to Apple's hardware and software ecosystem. Roles on teams like Apple Intelligence, Core ML, or Siri tend to move quickly, so applying as soon as a position opens matters. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse current AI Product Engineer openings at Apple filtered by visa sponsorship type.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for AI Product Engineers?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, TN visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT for AI Product Engineers, depending on your nationality and current status. Australian citizens are well-positioned for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and can be processed faster. Canadian and Mexican nationals often use TN visa status. For long-term permanent residence, Apple also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship after a qualifying tenure.
What qualifications does Apple expect for AI Product Engineer roles?
Apple's AI Product Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks, hardware-software integration, or on-device AI is weighted heavily. USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, so your degree field needs to directly align with the job duties Apple lists in your offer letter.
How do I think about the sponsorship timeline for an AI Product Engineer role at Apple?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa category. E-3 and TN petitions can be processed at a consulate in a matter of weeks. H-1B cap cases require registration in March with an October 1 start date, meaning a gap of six or more months between offer and start is common. Apple's in-house immigration team coordinates with outside counsel, but you should track USCIS processing times directly on the USCIS website to set accurate expectations.
