INTRODUCTION
At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.
As we grow globally, we have increasing opportunities to communicate with and delight our members and prospective members in new ways. One of the primary levers for growth is developing new plans, with differentiated features and price points, so consumers can choose what is right for them.
This position is part of the broader Commerce Product team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of content experiences that drive engagement, grow the business, and entertain the world!
This role is based in our Los Gatos office (preferred) in a hybrid model, but we are open to remote candidates who are on the West Coast (PST timezone). Travel to Los Gatos will be required if remote-based.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

What will you do:
- Product Execution: Lead the execution and optimization of content aggregation roadmaps. Take product concepts from ideation through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration.

- Scale the Platform: Build and scale product experiences and platform capabilities to support the onboarding of content partners globally.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional leaders in articulating a compelling product vision, and then breaking the vision into well-scoped projects and driving execution. Work as part of an autonomous agile team along with designers, engineers, consumer insights, and data science, ML & analytics colleagues to deliver outstanding products to our customers.
- Advocate and Align: Ensure that the broader organization is clear about our product strategy and roadmap, and effectively farm for dissent. Deeply understand and socialize the evolving needs of our customers, with your consumer insights and design partners.
- Culture: Foster an inclusive environment, where all viewpoints are welcomed and encouraged. Embodies the Netflix real values while also bringing a new perspective to improve our culture.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for Design, Product Excellence, Growth, Business Model Innovation, and/or Behavioral Economics! Past experience in entertainment industry or related products/solutions is a huge plus.
- 7+ years of product management experience with a proven record of prioritizing and successfully launching impactful products or platforms.
- Worked in a direct-to-consumer business, preferably with a global scope, where the consumer is paying for the service.
- Demonstrated leadership working effectively with designers, data scientists, engineers, researchers, and colleagues across content, communications, and marketing - ability to inspire, motivate and lead a cross-functional team.
- Very high attention to detail, with an ability to connect the smallest experience elements to the big picture goals at the company and team level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - An ability to synthesize the complex into the simple and persuasive, and tell compelling stories with data.
- Comfortable using data to inform priorities and evaluate impact of initiatives.
- Has strong instincts for outstanding customer experience.
- Experience working in an organizational structure with both vertical and horizontal teams where ownership of a capability cuts across multiple teams.

Frame Your PM Portfolio Around Outcomes
Netflix product interviews weight measurable impact heavily. Before applying, restructure your portfolio to lead with retention, engagement, or revenue outcomes you drove, not feature launches. Visa-sponsored candidates who demonstrate clear business results move faster through their process.
Target Roles Aligned With Netflix's Content Strategy
Product Lead openings at Netflix cluster around streaming experience, payments, and creator tools. Aligning your application to one of these verticals signals genuine product fit and increases your chances of reaching a hiring manager who actively sponsors international candidates.
Verify Your Employer's E-Verify Enrollment Early
Netflix participates in E-Verify, which is required for F-1 OPT STEM extension authorization. Confirm your offer letter references E-Verify enrollment before your standard OPT window closes, since STEM extension requires the employer record to be active at time of filing.
Understand Netflix's Cap-Subject H-1B Timeline
H-1B cap registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you receive a Product Lead offer after lottery selection closes, negotiate a start date that aligns with the next cap cycle or explore cap-exempt options if you have prior qualifying employment.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Product Lead Roles
Filtering for Product Lead positions at companies with active sponsorship history saves significant time. Migrate Mate's job board is built specifically for visa-seeking candidates, so you can identify Netflix openings alongside verified sponsorship context without sorting through roles that won't support your visa type.
Get Your LCA Timing Right Before Your Start Date
Your employer must file the Labor Condition Application with DOL and receive certification before USCIS can accept your H-1B petition. For senior product roles with negotiated start dates, confirm your recruiter has flagged the LCA requirement to Netflix's immigration counsel at offer stage, not after.

Find Product Lead at Netflix JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix sponsor H-1B visas for Product Leads?
Yes, Netflix sponsors H-1B visas for Product Lead roles. The process requires Netflix to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and then submit an H-1B petition to USCIS on your behalf. For cap-subject H-1B cases, the petition can only be filed after you clear the annual lottery, which runs in March for an October start.
How do I apply for Product Lead jobs at Netflix?
Applications go through Netflix's careers site, where Product Lead roles are listed under the Product function. Tailor your application to the specific product area advertised, since Netflix organizes product hiring by vertical. You can also browse current Product Lead openings at Netflix with sponsorship context through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-friendly roles.
Which visa types are commonly used for Product Lead roles at Netflix?
Netflix supports multiple work visa categories for Product Lead hires, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, J-1 for exchange visitors, and Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. The right category depends on your nationality, education, and where you are in the immigration process.
What qualifications does Netflix expect for a Product Lead role?
Netflix typically looks for candidates with demonstrated experience owning a product area end-to-end, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal process structure. Product Leads are expected to think at the strategy level while staying close to execution. Prior experience in streaming, consumer platforms, or two-sided marketplaces is often reflected in the roles they post.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship from Netflix?
Timing depends on your visa type. H-1B candidates should align offer negotiations with the March registration window if they're not already in valid H-1B status. F-1 OPT candidates must track their OPT expiration and STEM extension eligibility carefully, since a gap in work authorization can interrupt employment. Starting the conversation with your recruiter about visa type and timeline at the offer stage, not after signing, prevents delays.
