Get your CPA credentials in order early
KPMG's Senior Corporate Accountant roles typically require CPA licensure or active candidacy. If your accounting degree is from outside the U.S., have it evaluated by a NACES-approved credential service before you apply, since KPMG's HR reviews these during background checks.
Target KPMG's industry-specific service lines
KPMG structures hiring by sector, including financial services, healthcare, and technology. Applying to a service line where your prior accounting experience aligns directly improves your chances, since Senior Accountant roles within specialized practices are more likely to move through sponsorship approval without complications.
Use Migrate Mate to find open KPMG roles
KPMG posts Senior Corporate Accountant openings across multiple office locations, and availability shifts frequently. Browse Migrate Mate to filter for KPMG roles that explicitly support visa sponsorship so you can focus your applications where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Understand how KPMG structures its LCA filings
KPMG files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before submitting your H-1B or E-3 petition. The LCA specifies your worksite and prevailing wage level, so if your role involves client site work across multiple states, confirm with your recruiter how KPMG handles multi-location LCA filings.
Time your offer acceptance around H-1B cap deadlines
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Securing your KPMG offer by late February gives the firm enough lead time to register you and prepare your petition if you're selected in the lottery.
Ask directly whether KPMG will support PERM sponsorship
For permanent residence via EB-2 or EB-3, KPMG must initiate the PERM labor certification process with the DOL. Senior Accountants at Big Four firms are regularly sponsored for Green Cards, but timelines vary by office location and how long you've been with the firm.

Find Senior Corporate Accountant at KPMG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KPMG sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Corporate Accountants?
Yes, KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Corporate Accountants. As a large professional services firm, KPMG has an established immigration program and regularly files H-1B petitions for accounting professionals. Sponsorship is typically tied to a specific role and office location, so confirm sponsorship availability directly with your recruiter during the offer stage.
Which visa types does KPMG commonly use for Senior Corporate Accountant roles?
KPMG sponsors H-1B visas for most nationalities and E-3 visas specifically for Australian citizens. For long-term permanent residence, KPMG also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. The visa type available to you depends on your citizenship, your current immigration status, and the office where you'll be based.
How do I apply for Senior Corporate Accountant jobs at KPMG?
Applications for Senior Corporate Accountant roles at KPMG are submitted through their careers portal, but roles fill quickly and many aren't prominently labeled by sponsorship status. Migrate Mate filters KPMG's open Senior Corporate Accountant positions to surface only those where visa sponsorship is available, which helps you apply to the right openings without wasting time on roles that won't move forward.
What qualifications does KPMG expect for Senior Corporate Accountant roles?
KPMG typically expects a bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field, along with two to four years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate finance. Active CPA licensure or documented candidacy is strongly preferred. For visa purposes, your degree must align directly with the accounting duties of the role to satisfy specialty occupation requirements under H-1B or E-3 rules.
How do I estimate how long the sponsorship process will take at KPMG?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B sponsorship through the cap lottery runs on a fixed annual cycle, with a start date of October 1 at the earliest after March registration. E-3 visas for Australian citizens can move faster since there's no lottery, and consular processing typically takes two to six weeks. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship is a multi-year process and generally begins after you've been with KPMG for a period of time.
