Work You'll Do
Senior Consultants in the product tech diligence team assist in evaluating technology and/or software, identifying potential risks, and helping ensure it is a successful enabler for a pending M&A transaction. They deliver complex client engagements that help refine the client's product tech's strategy with a focus on inorganic growth. As a product tech diligence Senior Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor to corporate and private equity clients. Deloitte's Senior Consultants are self-starters who are comfortable in an energetic and dynamic "roll-up-your-sleeves" culture. Senior Consultant level responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Synthesize overall technology/software strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial and technical analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs
- Proven ability to be resourceful with certain subject matter areas that arise during diligence activities
- Responsiveness including the ability to respond to emails / calls within a reasonable turnaround based on client situation and needs
- Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope
- Develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope
- Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs and strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results
- Valuate technology systems and operations of a company
- Identify potential risks
- Help ensure IT or specific software is a successful enabler for a transaction
The Team
Our M&A team offers expert guidance to corporate and private equity clients in navigating complex growth and divestiture scenarios. Our services encompass M&A strategy and transaction diligence, integration and separation planning and execution, as well as transaction financing.
Within M&A strategy and transaction diligence, our IT and product tech diligence specialists focus on the value creation potential of each transaction and its inherent operational risks. The Deloitte IT diligence practice executes across several services through evaluating technology systems and operations of companies, identifying potential risks, and helping ensure IT is a successful enabler for an M&A transaction. Each service has a focus across an organization's people, process, applications and infrastructure, and incorporates unique industry considerations. Product tech diligence helps our clients by reviewing proprietary technology products, cyber security, initial carve out/standup requirements and initial integration/separation planning requirements. This is done through an integrated platform which more clearly checks the alignment of the deal macros with our clients' investment theses, focuses on the foundational maturity of the target company, brings more value creation concepts to the diligence effort, and applies a metrics-driven perspective.

Align your credentials with U.S. CPA expectations
Deloitte's internal accounting roles consistently favor CPA-eligible candidates. If your foreign accounting qualification isn't yet NASBA-recognized, begin the equivalency evaluation before applying so your credentials don't stall an offer or delay a visa filing.
Target Deloitte's internal finance postings specifically
Senior Corporate Accountant openings sit in Deloitte's own finance function, not client-facing advisory. Search for roles under Deloitte Services LP rather than the consulting business units, as these internal positions follow a different hiring and sponsorship pipeline.
Understand how E-3 fits Deloitte's sponsorship approach
Australian citizens should ask Deloitte recruiters specifically about E-3 sponsorship early in the process. Deloitte sponsors multiple visa types for this function, and the E-3 offers a faster path than H-1B with no lottery exposure and no annual cap constraint.
Clarify PERM timing before accepting an offer
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, ask during the offer stage whether Deloitte initiates PERM concurrently with your H-1B or only after a defined tenure. Internal accounting roles at large firms often have established timelines for this, and knowing upfront shapes your planning significantly.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage scrutiny on accounting titles
Senior Corporate Accountant filings require DOL-certified Labor Condition Applications confirming your offered salary meets prevailing wage for your work location. Deloitte offices in high-cost metros like New York or San Francisco carry higher wage thresholds, so confirm your offer reflects the correct geographic tier.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles across visa categories
Filtering for Senior Corporate Accountant openings at Deloitte by the visa type you need saves significant time. Migrate Mate lets you search specifically by sponsorship category so you land on roles where your visa situation is already accounted for.

Find Senior Corporate Accountant at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Corporate Accountants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Corporate Accountant roles. As one of the largest professional services firms in the U.S., Deloitte has an established internal immigration process for accounting professionals. H-1B sponsorship for this function typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a closely related field, and the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Senior Corporate Accountant roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Senior Corporate Accountant positions, along with immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for eligible candidates seeking permanent residence. Australian citizens are well-positioned for the E-3, which requires no lottery and has no annual cap. H-1B1 is available to Chilean and Singaporean nationals under similar specialty occupation criteria.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for a Senior Corporate Accountant position?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, several years of progressive accounting experience, and strong familiarity with U.S. GAAP. CPA licensure or active candidacy is a meaningful differentiator at the senior level. Experience with ERP systems and financial close processes is commonly required. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree and role must align closely enough to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I apply for Senior Corporate Accountant jobs at Deloitte?
Senior Corporate Accountant openings at Deloitte are posted through their careers portal under the Deloitte Services LP entity, which houses internal finance and operations roles. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse open Senior Corporate Accountant positions at Deloitte filtered by the specific visa type you need, which streamlines identifying roles where sponsorship is already on the table.
How do I plan the timeline from offer to visa approval for a Senior Corporate Accountant role at Deloitte?
The timeline depends on which visa Deloitte files and whether you use premium processing. For H-1B cap-subject cases, the October 1 start date is fixed, meaning offers made after the April lottery may involve a gap period. E-3 and H-1B1 filings can move faster since they aren't lottery-bound. USCIS premium processing reduces adjudication to roughly 15 business days for I-129 petitions, which Deloitte may offer for time-sensitive starts.
