Align your credentials to U.S. licensing expectations
Arcadis consulting roles often list PE licensure or EIT status as preferred. Get your foreign degree evaluated by a NACES-approved credential evaluator before applying so your application moves without delays during hiring.
Target infrastructure and resilience project teams
Arcadis organizes structural work around sectors like water infrastructure, transportation, and climate resilience. Applying to roles aligned with active project pipelines, not just generic openings, signals fit and increases the chance your offer moves to the sponsorship stage.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Confirm whether Arcadis will cover H-1B filing costs and premium processing. Consulting firms sometimes distinguish between cap-subject and cap-exempt filings depending on project staffing arrangements, so ask explicitly during the offer negotiation.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified structural openings
Searching general job boards surfaces roles that don't actually sponsor. Use Migrate Mate to browse Arcadis structural engineer openings filtered by visa type so you apply only to positions where sponsorship is confirmed.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage requirements early
Arcadis must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition. The offered salary must meet the prevailing wage for your location and job level, so research wage level norms for structural engineers in your target office city.

Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Structural Engineers?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for Structural Engineer roles. As a large engineering and consulting firm with offices across the U.S., Arcadis has a consistent pattern of supporting work authorization for technical roles in this discipline. Sponsorship is typically employer-initiated after an offer is made, so confirm the specifics, including premium processing coverage, during your offer negotiation.
How do I apply for Structural Engineer jobs at Arcadis?
You can browse and apply for Structural Engineer openings at Arcadis directly through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters Arcadis listings by visa sponsorship type so you can focus on roles where your work authorization situation is already a fit. Tailor your application to the specific infrastructure or building sector the team serves, and highlight any project delivery experience in consulting environments.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Structural Engineers?
Arcadis sponsors a range of visa categories for Structural Engineers, including H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA), F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and where you are in your career.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for Structural Engineer roles?
Most Structural Engineer openings at Arcadis require a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited institution. Foreign degrees are generally accepted when supported by a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator. EIT certification is commonly preferred for early-career roles, while senior positions often expect a Professional Engineer license and demonstrated experience managing structural analysis and design on complex infrastructure or building projects.
How do I time my application if I need H-1B sponsorship to start at Arcadis?
USCIS accepts H-1B petitions starting April 1 for an October 1 start date, with registration opening in March. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your expiration date relative to that window. Arcadis would need to register you in the lottery by late March, so target offers three to four months before registration opens. If your OPT expires before October 1, ask whether a cap-gap extension applies to your situation.
