Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Power Systems Engineering Jobs at Arcadis Jobs
Align Your Credentials to Grid Modernization Work
Arcadis Power Systems roles often center on transmission planning, interconnection studies, and renewable integration. Frame your resume around relevant tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, or PowerWorld, and tie your experience to utility-scale or infrastructure projects specifically.
Target Roles Linked to Active Infrastructure Contracts
Arcadis wins long-term contracts with utilities and grid operators, which drives sustained hiring in Power Systems. Search for postings tied to specific programs or client regions, since those roles are more likely to have budget approved for sponsorship from day one.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Before Your Final Interview
Consulting firms sometimes distinguish between sponsoring a new H-1B petition and transferring an existing one. Confirm whether Arcadis will file a cap-subject petition or whether your situation qualifies for a cap-exempt transfer, since the timeline differs by several months.
Use OPT Strategically to Start Without Lottery Risk
If you're on F-1 OPT, Arcadis can bring you on immediately without waiting for an H-1B approval. Use that window to demonstrate your value on a project before the April H-1B registration deadline, which strengthens the internal case for sponsorship.
Prepare a PE License or EIT Credential Before Applying
Power Systems roles at consulting firms like Arcadis frequently require or strongly prefer licensed engineers. Having your EIT or active PE licensure in hand signals you meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies when evaluating H-1B petitions for engineering roles.
Browse Arcadis Power Systems Roles on Migrate Mate
Filter open Power Systems Engineering positions at Arcadis by visa type on Migrate Mate to find roles where sponsorship is confirmed. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cold-applying to postings with no clarity on international candidates.

Find Power Systems Engineering at Arcadis JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Power Systems Engineers?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for Power Systems Engineering roles. The company has a consistent pattern of filing petitions for engineers in technical infrastructure and grid-related positions. If you're already on H-1B with another employer, Arcadis can also file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as the transfer is received by USCIS.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Power Systems Engineering roles?
Arcadis sponsors across several work visa categories for Power Systems Engineering, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican engineers, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term sponsorship. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current status.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for Power Systems Engineering positions?
Most Power Systems Engineering roles at Arcadis require a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a closely related field, with a focus on power systems coursework. Practical experience with transmission planning, load flow analysis, or protection coordination is commonly expected. Familiarity with industry tools like PSS/E or PSCAD and progress toward a PE license are frequent differentiators in the candidate pool.
How do I apply for Power Systems Engineering jobs at Arcadis?
You can find and apply for Power Systems Engineering roles at Arcadis through Migrate Mate, which lists open positions filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Once you identify a role, apply directly through Arcadis's careers portal. Tailoring your application to the specific project focus of the role, whether grid modernization, renewables, or utility infrastructure, improves your chances of moving forward.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at a firm like Arcadis?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, the timeline runs from registration in March through a potential October 1 start date, roughly six to seven months from selection to authorization. Arcadis can file with premium processing to get a decision within 15 business days once the petition is submitted. Cap-exempt transfers for candidates already on H-1B move faster and don't depend on the annual lottery cycle.
