About the Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) Team:
The DCI team consists of technical subject matter experts who specialize in end-to-end large scale physical infrastructure that powers and enables modern data centers. This includes power distribution systems such as transformers, substations, generators, switchgear, switch panels, busways, ATS units, EDPM, BMS systems, and control panels, as well as cooling solutions ranging from traditional evaporative and indirect cooling systems to emerging liquid cooling technologies including chillers, heat exchangers, CDUs, pumps, and secondary fluid networks. The team also addresses the mechanical structures that house these systems - hot aisle containment, steel enclosures, blanking panels, cable trays, and fiber and networking infrastructure.
The DCI team operates as a cross-industry center of excellence, partnering primarily with various cloud providers across the industry. Team members function as deeply technical subject matter experts who engage directly with customers and supply chain partners to assess requirements, identify challenges, and design infrastructure solutions end-to-end. The ideal contributor brings engineering-level expertise in either power or cooling disciplines, a working knowledge of the full infrastructure dependency chain, and the ability to translate that expertise into clear recommendations and collaborative problem-solving with both technical and business stakeholders.

Align your degree to program management
Jabil's Program Associate roles typically require a degree in engineering, supply chain, or business. Confirm your transcripts clearly reflect a field tied to the role you're targeting, since specialty occupation determinations hinge on that direct connection.
Target sites with active program pipelines
Jabil operates manufacturing and program management hubs across multiple U.S. states. Apply to locations with open Program Associate clusters, since sites running high-volume production programs are more likely to move quickly on sponsorship approvals.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles
Searching broadly across job boards makes it hard to filter for verified sponsors in electronics manufacturing. Use Migrate Mate to browse Program Associate positions at Jabil filtered by visa type, so you apply only where sponsorship is confirmed.
Clarify CPT and OPT authorization early
If you're on F-1 status, bring your CPT or OPT authorization letter to any interview stage. Jabil recruiters handling program roles need to confirm work authorization before routing your application to a hiring manager.
Expect the LCA to precede your start date
Before Jabil can file your H-1B petition with USCIS, the Department of Labor must certify a Labor Condition Application. Build at least four to six weeks of LCA processing time into your expected start date conversation with your recruiter.
Frame cross-functional experience in your resume
Jabil's Program Associate function spans procurement, NPI, and customer program execution. Resumes that show experience bridging teams or managing deliverables across functions align more directly with how Jabil structures this role.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jabil sponsor H-1B visas for Program Associates?
Yes, Jabil sponsors H-1B visas for Program Associate roles. The process requires your employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS. Program Associates typically qualify under the specialty occupation standard, provided your degree field aligns directly with the responsibilities of the role.
How do I apply for Program Associate jobs at Jabil?
You can apply through Jabil's careers portal or browse verified openings filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. Prepare a resume that reflects cross-functional program coordination experience, since Jabil's Program Associate roles often involve NPI cycles, supply chain execution, and direct customer interaction across its electronics manufacturing operations.
Which visa types does Jabil commonly use for Program Associate roles?
Jabil sponsors H-1B visas for candidates already in the U.S. and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students during or after graduation. For longer-term employment, Jabil also pursues permanent residency through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM-based pathways. TN visa status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories.
What qualifications does Jabil expect for Program Associate positions?
Jabil typically looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related technical field. Relevant internship or co-op experience in electronics manufacturing, program coordination, or NPI support is a strong differentiator. Familiarity with cross-functional environments, customer-facing deliverables, and project tracking tools strengthens your profile for this function.
How do I plan my timeline around visa sponsorship for a Jabil Program Associate role?
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, the annual cap-subject lottery runs in March for an October 1 start date, so timing your offer accordingly matters. F-1 OPT holders have up to 12 months of work authorization, extendable to 36 months with STEM OPT, which gives you runway to work at Jabil before an H-1B petition is filed.
