Frame Your Resume Around Process Ownership
Jabil's Manufacturing Engineer roles emphasize yield improvement, DFM analysis, and lean manufacturing execution. Tailor your resume to show specific process ownership, not just participation, so your application signals readiness for the cross-functional accountability these roles carry.
Target Sites With Active NPI Programs
Jabil operates dozens of manufacturing sites, but not all run new product introduction programs at the same pace. Roles tied to NPI or ramp phases tend to have more urgent hiring timelines, which works in your favor when you need sponsorship processed without extended delays.
Clarify LCA Coverage Before Accepting an Offer
Before signing, confirm that the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL covers the specific Jabil facility where you'll work. If your assignment shifts to another site, a new LCA may be required, which affects your start date and status continuity.
Align Your OPT Timeline With Jabil's Hiring Cycles
Jabil's electronics manufacturing operations run on product launch cycles. If you're on F-1 OPT, apply early enough that your authorization period overlaps with the H-1B cap filing window in April, giving your employer time to file without a gap in your work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Jabil Openings by Visa Type
Not every Jabil Manufacturing Engineer posting reflects the same sponsorship scope. Use Migrate Mate to filter openings by the visa types that match your situation, so you're applying to roles where your specific authorization is already accounted for.
Understand How PERM Applies to Your Green Card Path
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Jabil must complete PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your immigrant petition. Manufacturing Engineer roles typically require documented recruitment efforts, so expect several months of employer-side processing before your I-140 is filed.

Find Manufacturing Engineer at Jabil JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Jabil sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineers?
Yes, Jabil sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineer roles. The company operates as a large multinational electronics manufacturer with an established immigration program, making it one of the more structured environments for H-1B sponsorship in the hardware manufacturing sector. Sponsorship is typically initiated after a formal offer, with the employer handling USCIS filings and associated legal coordination.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Engineer jobs at Jabil?
You can search and apply for Manufacturing Engineer roles directly through Jabil's careers portal, or browse filtered openings by visa type on Migrate Mate. Applications typically require a resume reflecting process engineering experience, and some roles may include a technical screening or plant-specific panel interview. Applying to postings aligned with your visa situation improves your chances of moving through the process without delays.
Which visa types does Jabil commonly use for Manufacturing Engineers?
Jabil supports H-1B sponsorship for specialty occupation roles, including Manufacturing Engineers with a qualifying bachelor's degree or higher in engineering. The company also sponsors employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. F-1 students on OPT or CPT can engage with Jabil during authorized work periods, and TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles.
What qualifications does Jabil expect for sponsored Manufacturing Engineer roles?
Jabil's Manufacturing Engineer postings in electronics and hardware typically require a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or DFM principles is frequently listed. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific discipline, which engineering roles at this level generally satisfy under USCIS standards.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Jabil Manufacturing Engineer role?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap-subject cases follow USCIS's lottery and filing cycle, with an October 1 start date for selected registrations. If you're cap-exempt or transferring from another H-1B employer, processing can move faster. EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically runs 18 months or more from labor certification to petition approval, not counting priority date wait times.
