Align your credentials to Deloitte's learning frameworks
Deloitte structures its learning function around competency-based development and digital learning platforms. Credentials like ATD certifications or experience with LMS tools such as Workday Learning or Cornerstone signal direct fit before your application reaches a recruiter.
Target Deloitte's Talent Development and Enablement teams
Professional Learning Specialist roles sit within Deloitte's internal talent functions, not client-facing practices. Search specifically for postings under Talent, Learning, or Enabling Areas to avoid conflating these with consulting delivery roles that have different sponsorship pathways.
Understand which visa category fits your background
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, EB-2, and EB-3 visas for this role. If you're an Australian citizen, the E-3 is faster and avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. Your degree field and job duties determine which category Deloitte's immigration counsel will file under.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles before they close
Professional Learning Specialist postings at Deloitte fill quickly and aren't always aggregated reliably. Browse Migrate Mate's visa-sponsored job board to surface active Deloitte openings filtered by sponsorship type so you're applying while the position is still live.
Request clarity on sponsorship timing during the offer stage
Deloitte's internal immigration team handles filings, but H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year for an October 1 start. Ask your recruiter early whether your start date aligns with the annual USCIS filing window to avoid a months-long gap.
Prepare documentation before the PERM stage if pursuing a Green Card
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Deloitte's counsel files a PERM labor certification with the DOL before petitioning USCIS. Gather your transcripts, prior employment letters, and degree equivalency evaluations now since PERM audits frequently request these on short notice.

Find Professional Learning Specialist at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Learning Specialists?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Professional Learning Specialist roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given the requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in instructional design, education, organizational development, or a related field. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are tied to an annual lottery, your start date and application timing depend on USCIS selection in the spring registration period.
How do I apply for Professional Learning Specialist jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com/careers. Tailor your resume to highlight learning program design, facilitation experience, and any LMS or instructional technology background. Sponsorship eligibility is confirmed during the recruiting process, so you don't need to raise it in your initial application. You can also find verified open roles on Migrate Mate, filtered by visa sponsorship type.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Professional Learning Specialist roles?
Deloitte uses H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant sponsorship of this role, and sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories for permanent residence. Australian citizens are well-positioned to use the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable status. H-1B1 applies to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. Which category applies to you depends on your nationality, degree, and job duties.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Professional Learning Specialist roles?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, human resources, or organizational development. Practical experience designing and delivering corporate learning programs is expected, and familiarity with digital learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate is common in postings. Some roles within Deloitte's consulting enablement function also require experience supporting client-facing training or change management initiatives.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Professional Learning Specialist at Deloitte?
Timeline depends on visa type. An E-3 for Australian nationals can be approved at a consulate within weeks of receiving the offer and employer documents. An H-1B cap-subject petition requires lottery selection in March for an October 1 start, meaning the process spans roughly six months from registration to work authorization. Green Card sponsorship through PERM, EB-2, or EB-3 typically takes several years and usually begins after you've been employed at Deloitte.
