Frame your SaaS sales credentials precisely
Veeva recruits Business Development Professionals with documented success in enterprise or mid-market software sales, ideally in regulated industries. Quantify pipeline generation, deal cycles, and client verticals in your resume before you apply.
Target roles tied to Veeva's cloud verticals
Veeva structures its go-to-market teams around specific clouds: Vault, CRM, and Compass. Applying to openings aligned with a vertical you've sold into, such as clinical or regulatory software, signals fit beyond a generic business development background.
Clarify your OPT or CPT timeline upfront
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility early. Veeva's hiring cycles for Business Development roles can run several months, and a gap between your current authorization end date and an H-1B approval needs to be mapped out before the offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open BD roles at Veeva
Business Development Professional openings at Veeva are distributed across regions and product lines. Use Migrate Mate to filter for current Veeva postings that explicitly support visa sponsorship, so you're applying to roles where authorization is already confirmed.
Understand how Veeva's H-1B filing fits the annual cap
H-1B petitions for new sponsorships must be filed with USCIS by April 1 for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer after the cap-subject filing window closes, work with your recruiter to understand whether a cap-exempt pathway or a deferred start applies to your situation.
Confirm LCA wage compliance before accepting an offer
Before signing, verify that the offered compensation meets the DOL prevailing wage for your specific Business Development role and work location. Veeva operates across multiple metro markets with different wage tiers, and the LCA must reflect the actual worksite, not headquarters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Veeva Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals?
Yes, Veeva Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals. The company has an active sponsorship history for this function, covering both cap-subject H-1B petitions and H-1B transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. If you're mid-job-search, an H-1B transfer to Veeva can begin as soon as a petition is filed, without waiting for October 1.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Development Professional roles at Veeva Systems?
Veeva sponsors several visa categories for Business Development Professionals, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students currently enrolled or recently graduated. For longer-term pathways, Veeva also supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications depending on the role and candidate profile.
How do I apply for Business Development Professional jobs at Veeva Systems?
You can find and apply for Business Development Professional openings at Veeva through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers so you're not sorting through roles that won't support your authorization. Veeva's BD roles are organized by product line and region, so searching by cloud vertical or geography will help you find the most relevant postings before applying directly through Veeva's careers portal.
What qualifications does Veeva Systems expect for Business Development Professional roles?
Veeva typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a related field, combined with B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software. Familiarity with pharma or biotech commercial operations is a strong differentiator. Business Development roles at Veeva often sit at the intersection of technical product knowledge and consultative selling, so demonstrated ability to engage clinical or regulatory stakeholders carries real weight.
How do I time my application to align with Veeva's H-1B sponsorship process?
The H-1B cap-subject filing window opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. To align with that cycle, you'd need an offer from Veeva no later than early March to allow time for USCIS registration and petition preparation. If you miss the window, Veeva may be able to extend your F-1 OPT or bridge your status through cap-exempt options if any apply, so raise the timeline question directly during the offer stage.
