Frame your credentials around consulting delivery
Slalom Project Managers are expected to own client-facing delivery, not just internal coordination. Certifications like PMP or Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) carry weight here. Align your resume to client engagement outcomes, not just project execution.
Target market-specific openings with intention
Slalom operates through local markets rather than a centralized staffing model. Search by specific market office, not just job title. A Project Manager opening in Seattle may have different practice area needs than one in Atlanta or Chicago.
Clarify your visa type early in conversations
Consulting firms juggle multiple visa types simultaneously. If you're on OPT, clarify your OPT end date and whether you need cap-gap coverage before your first recruiter screen. This prevents late-stage offer complications when timelines are tight.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active PM openings
Project Manager roles at Slalom turn over regularly across markets. Use Migrate Mate to filter current openings by visa sponsorship type so you're applying to roles where your visa category is already supported, not hoping it will be.
Understand how LCA geography affects your placement
Slalom may place you at a client site in a different city than your hiring office. DOL Labor Condition Applications are tied to the worksite location, so if your placement shifts, your employer may need to file an amended LCA before you can work there.
Prepare for the H-1B timeline within consulting's project cycles
USCIS H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. Consulting offer timelines can slip due to client demand shifts. Confirm your start date in writing and ensure your offer letter accounts for the USCIS filing window.

Find Project Manager at Slalom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Slalom sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Slalom sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. As a consulting firm that hires across multiple practice areas and markets, Slalom has established HR and legal infrastructure to support H-1B petitions. That said, sponsorship decisions can depend on the specific market office and client demand at the time of hire, so confirming sponsorship support early in the recruiter conversation is the right move.
Which visa types does Slalom commonly sponsor for Project Manager roles?
Slalom sponsors a range of visa types for Project Managers, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right visa depends on your nationality, education, and current immigration status. Not every market office handles all visa types identically, so align your situation with the recruiter upfront.
What qualifications does Slalom expect for sponsored Project Manager positions?
Slalom Project Managers typically need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, information systems, or engineering, along with demonstrated client-facing delivery experience. Certifications like PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe are valued, particularly for technology and transformation engagements. H-1B sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, so a degree requirement tied directly to the job function needs to be clear in the offer documentation.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Slalom?
Start by searching Slalom's careers site filtered to your target market, since Slalom hires locally rather than through a centralized pool. You can also browse current Project Manager openings at Slalom that support visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which filters by visa type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. Tailor your resume to consulting delivery language and client engagement outcomes before reaching out to a recruiter.
How do I think about timing when pursuing a sponsored Project Manager offer at Slalom?
Timing depends heavily on your current visa status. If you need an H-1B cap-subject petition, USCIS registration opens in March and the earliest employment start is October 1, so you need an offer confirmed well before April 1. For E-3 or TN holders, processing is faster and not cap-subject, which gives more flexibility. If you're on OPT, track your end date carefully and confirm whether Slalom can support an extension or transition before your authorization expires.
