Frame Your Sourcing Experience Around Client Outcomes
Slalom evaluates sourcing candidates on their ability to deliver value within consulting engagements, not just procurement operations. Translate your experience into client-facing impact, category strategy, and vendor risk reduction before you apply.
Identify Slalom Offices With Active Sourcing Pipelines
Slalom operates through local market offices, and sourcing hiring concentrates in markets with high consulting delivery volume. Research which offices are actively posting sourcing roles before targeting your outreach to recruiters in those specific markets.
Clarify Visa Type Eligibility Before Your First Interview
Slalom sponsors multiple visa categories for sourcing roles, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Know which category applies to your nationality and situation so you can address sponsorship requirements clearly when the recruiter raises it, not after an offer is extended.
Align Your Credentials to Specialty Occupation Standards
H-1B approval for sourcing roles depends on demonstrating the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. USCIS scrutinizes broad business roles, so make sure your resume and offer letter language reflects the technical and analytical depth of the work.
Plan Your OPT Timeline Around Consulting Hiring Cycles
F-1 OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization, with a 60-day grace period after it expires. Slalom's consulting hiring cycles often run on quarterly rhythms, so map your OPT expiration date against those windows and start the conversation with recruiters at least three months out.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Sourcing Openings at Slalom
Sourcing roles at Slalom don't always surface through general job boards with sponsorship filters. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified sponsoring employers and identify active sourcing positions at Slalom that align with your visa category and experience level.

Find Sourcing at Slalom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Slalom sponsor H-1B visas for Sourcings?
Yes, Slalom sponsors H-1B visas for sourcing roles. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which means the position needs to require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. For sourcing and procurement roles in a consulting context, the analytical and category management responsibilities typically support that determination, but the offer letter and job description language matters in how USCIS evaluates the petition.
How do I apply for Sourcing jobs at Slalom?
Applications go through Slalom's careers site, where roles are listed by market and function. Sourcing positions are posted under supply chain, procurement, or consulting operations depending on the engagement type. You can also use Migrate Mate to find active sourcing openings at Slalom that are open to visa sponsorship, which helps you filter for roles relevant to your work authorization before you apply.
Which visa types does Slalom commonly sponsor for Sourcing roles?
Slalom sponsors a range of visa categories for sourcing positions, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported, making Slalom accessible to candidates at earlier stages of their U.S. work authorization journey.
What qualifications does Slalom expect for Sourcing roles?
Slalom sourcing roles typically require a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in category management, vendor negotiations, or procurement strategy. Because these roles support consulting client engagements, experience working cross-functionally or in client-facing environments carries more weight than pure transactional procurement backgrounds. Familiarity with indirect spend categories is a common differentiator.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Sourcing roles at Slalom?
Timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B sponsorship is tied to the annual lottery with a cap-subject start date of October 1, so candidates without existing H-1B status need to account for that cycle. E-3 and TN processing moves faster, typically within a few weeks of an offer. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship for EB-2 or EB-3 is a multi-year process that usually begins after you're already employed.
